Monster Hunter Wilds: Find and Beat Doshaguma

Locating Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds

Doshaguma is one of the first monsters encountered that roams multiple areas. It can be found in both the Plains and Forest, with varying times of day. During the Fallow season, players may face an "alpha" version as part of the campaign's mainline quest. After the initial encounter, players can immediately challenge Doshaguma by selecting the "Forest Outlaw" Optional Quest at the Quest Counter. Additionally, it may appear in Wounded Hollow as the game progresses.

A variant of Doshaguma also exists, typically found in the Wyveria region, which becomes accessible after Chapter 3.

Strategies for Defeating Doshaguma

Doshaguma's primary danger lies in its sheer strength, delivering powerful attacks. It uses Minor Tremor and Weak Roar to disrupt players' combos and frequently charges opponents. Attacking from the side and back is advisable to avoid head-on confrontations.

Doshaguma is susceptible to various elements and status effects, except for Sonic Bombs. Utilizing Flash Pods, Shock Traps, Paralysis, and Stun can neutralize its aggressive charges. Carrying Dung Pods is recommended due to the possibility of encountering multiple Doshaguma or engaging in Turf Wars.

Doshaguma often engages in Turf Wars, presenting opportunities for players to step back and let other monsters weaken it.

Doshaguma Drops

Despite its intimidating presence, Doshaguma has a limited number of drops. The rarest, Doshaguma Fang, is more likely to drop from head and face wounds. Common drops include Doshaguma Fur and Doshaguma Claw, obtained from broken forelegs, back, and tail. Each defeat guarantees a Doshaguma Certificate.

Crafting Doshaguma equipment requires rare items like the Doshaguma Fang for Braces, Coil, and Helm. The coil also needs two fangs and a Sturdy Bone from Bone Pile gathering points. The Doshaguma Greaves require a Brute Bone.
