The popularity of the subway 'the menu'
About Subway® Restaurants One of the world's largest fast food brands, Subway serves millions of diners with freshly made sandwiches, wraps, salads and bowls every day at more than 37,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries. Subway restaurants are owned and operated by Subway® franchisees - a network of more than 20,000 dedicated entrepreneurs and small business owners - who are committed to providing the best experience for diners in their communities. Additionally, Subway has introduced a new menu and ordering system to make ordering easier. Instead of choosing toppings and toppings throughout the ordering process, fans simply say the sandwich number or name and its six-inch or one-foot length.
The commercial's humor
This ad was originally published in May 2022. It's intended to be a fourth-wall-breaking experience that makes viewers feel like they're talking to Wilson. Instead, many viewers felt uncomfortable or shuddered at the delivery of his lines. “It feels more like a promise to the consumer that we will always do better,” said Jason Stefanik, executive creative director at Dentsu Creative. “From an advertising standpoint, it’s refreshing to be able to talk about the really fundamental changes that are happening — not like something temporary or like a one-off new recipe."
