Luna Moth Location in Fields of Mistria

Other than fishing and bug collection, players can engage in numerous gaming modes in Fields of Mistria. Insects in Fields of Mistria change appearance depending on the time of day and season, much like the fish and forage items. If the proper season has passed, this may make bug collecting a very tedious and annoying task. Common insects such as ants and caterpillars are seen almost everywhere. But you'll need to be patient for rare species such as the Luna Moth. The Insects Wing of the museum will need you to buy the Luna Moth, which is a part of the Spring Insect Set.

Finding the Luna Moths

Ways to Catch Luna Moths

You can catch the Luna Moths while they sleep in spring. The clock shows eight o'clock in the evening in Fields of Mistria. If you are going to do nothing else but get the Luna Moth, then you can use the Mill to advance the time to 8 pm. The Luna Moth appears either in The Western Ruins or on your farm. If, when you leave either your house (farm) or the region of the ruins, you don't see any, go back inside to re-supply the area with a new chance at seeing one. If you don't look closely enough, the Luna Moth—which has yellow and light green wings—could pass for anything. Thankfully, the In-Game Screen Display may be customized to facilitate your search.

You may want to wait until Year 2 to pursue the Luna Moth. You'll have your hands full in the first year, what with building your barn and finishing the story goals to unlock parts of town. You will be more familiar with Mistria and can better devote yourself to collecting at the end of the second year.

Display Customization

We advise you to set your in-game display scale to 1x. How to do it:

Open the menu with the M-key and go to the Settings/Gear tab.

In the settings menu, change the in-game display scale from 3x (default) to 1x.

By switching to 1x, you will widen your field of view. Just keep in mind that upon zooming out, the character sprites become smaller. Fortunately for you, the Luna Moth flies in both directions, so you really shouldn't have too much problem trying to spot it. The 2x view option is there in case you find the 1x view a bit of a problem. You can save yourself from actually jogging to each and every corner of the landmark to see what's there by playing in outside 3x mode. You can restore the original settings when you've caught the Luna Moth.

Easy Donation

The Narrows Museum will appreciate the Luna Moth. It is part of the spring insect set, along with the ladybug, butterfly, caterpillar, and roly-poly. Your rewards for donating the complete Spring Insect Set are dependent on the number of wings you've completed. You could sell the Luna Moth for 20 Tesserae, but you shouldn't because of how rare it is. Though you are allowed to use the Luna Moth as a gift, no one will like it-including Luc-so you won't receive any love points.
