Here is a complete guide for you to learn step by step How to kill metal slimes in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
Dragon Quest 3 Remake: How To Kill Metal Slimes
Metal Slimes are legendary foes from the Dragon Quest series and have returned with this Dragon Quest 3 Remake. Defeating them before they can run away yields a very good amount of experience points, so keep your eyes peeled when one appears before you.
Well, defeating Metal Slimes is very important because throughout the game, there are several types of Metal Slimes, such as Liquid Metal Slimes, that can give even more experience. Thankfully, this is how you defeat any Metal Slime, because this technique works universally for every kind.
You'll have to gamble that your only choice is to try and use basic weapon damage on Metal Slimes. Their extremely high levels of agility and defense mean metal slimes will dodge your attacks with ease and, when they do manage to hit, inflict only a single damage. Their ridiculously high Agility stat is indeed real, but no character will be able to obtain it until you come back later in the game.
Try to get critical hits as often as possible with the Thief's Assassin's Stab, since they do a long shot more damage and take them down quickly.
If you find a metal slime, you'll want to make them the highest priority since they have an excellent chance to escape every turn. Now, you've wasted enough time trying to set them up, just start hitting them for they are immune to all magic and item effects. Against a single Slime, the multi-attack abilities such as Call of the Wild work very well, but once there are multiple Slimes, it is usually smart to focus on just one so the other attacks in your party can focus on it and hopefully kill it before it can slink away.
The sad thing is, once you encounter a Metal Slime, your only hope is to use a generic attack involving all of your party members and hope none of them run away. If you don't want to lose out on any experience points from the monster dying, it would be a good idea to have your healer target the Metal Slime while the rest of the party keeps themselves healthy.
You can reliably find both types of metal slimes in a couple of locations you can easily backtrack to once you've discovered them:
Outside the Tower of Transcendence, within the room just before the tightrope required to unlock the Sage Vocation, and often atop the tower itself are metal slimes.
The Tower of Rubiss and the outside of Rimuldar house liquid metal slimes.
