Prepare yourself to learn How To Get All Endings in Until Dawn, for here is all that you may want.
The Until Dawn remake brings about endless terror similar to the original PS4 game. But in this game, one does not need an enormous corpse count like usually seen in a typical horror film. Here is how to reach every ending in Until Dawn, whether you want the characters to save or kill each other.
How to Get the Worst "Everyone Dies" Ending in Until Dawn
I'll immediately dive into listing off how to get the worst ending possible in this game. Namely, how to have everyone die in Until Dawn because it's a horror game. First off, though, I want to give a warning: Until Dawn is still somewhat problematic, even with patches, at the time of this writing. At least on the PS5, the chapter system is wholly busted which is a huge problem. I have had absolutely zero success in any of the touted ability to change my fate, instead being treated to softlocks, crashes, and other people getting labeled as 'dead' no matter how hard I try to save them. So, if you've already played the game and want a different outcome, I suggest starting afresh with a new save instead of using the chapter system. That is much better than your game breaking, but you will have to sit through the first chapters again.
So keeping that in mind, I'm going to teach you how to get the This Is THE End trophy in Until Dawn. I'm actually killing off every single character, but there are other ways of doing this-the reason for it is because this one is really effective. Or since you're such a terrible puppetmaster, just kill off the characters you hate.
Here, your choices pretty much just eliminate characters and don't determine their fates, so do whatever makes you happy.
Section 4 - Death to Jessica
Play as Mike - well, attempt to save Jessica in urgency, but you're intentionally going to fail those QTEs so that the Wendigo kills Jessica before he ever gets to them.
You can save Josh during the psycho's game as well.
Chapter Five
Again, choose whatever options you want.
Section 6 (Attack Matt)
After you, as Matt, have fought your way through the deer, axe attack one of them. If Matt fails the QTEs, he will fall to his death.
As Chris, kill Ashley (this will enable her to lock Chris in during a cutscene later);
Section 7
Yet another chapter on free will.
Section 8 (Death of Emily and Chris)
Make sure the wendigo catches up to Emily by taking your time and not pressing the lever when you reach the elevator. Alternatively, you might try pushing it, but then opt to remain on the conveyor and fail the QTEs, leading to a very unfortunate end.
From then on, be Chris and don't fire a shot until the wendigo kills himself. Otherwise, play it honestly, but Ashley will shun Chris when he gets back to the lodge,, as she blames his decisions in the Psycho Saw-style game. The wendigo will kill him because she changes her mind too late to let him in.
Section 9 (Attack Ashley)
On the way to the sanatorium with Sam, Ashley will hear Jess's voice in the car. If she chooses to get out and investigate the noise, the wendigo disguising herself as Jess will kill her.
I have three left. First of all, right when Sam and Mike are en route to find Josh, skip the cave with Hannah's journal-it's to the left of the pool. Go right of the pool. Wendigo Hannah will kill Josh.
If Sam fails her Don't Move events again once back at the lodge, she gets killed by a wendigo. Mike plans to blow the lodge up with explosives and then cover himself in gasoline and set himself ablaze.
Well, congratulations, you've unlocked that very rare Yes, this is the final trophy.
How to Save Everyone and Get the Best Ending in Until Dawn
That said, the saving of everyone in Until Dawn isn't as hard as that sounds, instead there's one point in time in which you'll have to make a pretty specific speech decision in order to save Josh. If you mess up a QTE, you simply will have the character stumble and continue or you'll have to retry the QTE.
Actually, characters will only die at certain points in the game, usually in later chapters, and it seems more forgiving than the first Until Dawn. Until Dawn's accessibility menu includes an option to make the QTEs easier or skip them entirely, so here's how to save everyone.
Parts 1-3
Your choices do not affect who of the characters will live or die.
Chapter 4: Jessica's Rescue
Complete all of the QTEs successfully as Mike to perform an awesome mad dash to save Jessica. It is always better to be on the side of caution, but I still saved her even though I messed up.
Nobody dies in this chapter; but, if you would like for Mike to not touch the sanitarium hand box, you'll have to do it in silence.
Section 6 (Save Matt)
Move through the deer population as Matt and allow the crosshairs to time out when they're going to kill you. It doesn't matter if you try to rescue Emily or not when the fire tower starts to collapse; they both end up surviving anyway.
At least temporarily.
If you're Chris, you can kill Ashley instead of yourself.
Section 7
There is no death or life or death-related choice in this chapter, nor does anyone die.
Section 8
(Emily and Chris' Rescue)
Complete all QTE's including the one in the elevator as Emily: Complete every Quick Time Event, even the one in the elevator while playing as Emily. She can get a flare cannon from the fire tower in Chapter 6, which is highly recommended for raising her chances of survival, though she will still get bitten.
Mike, you're not allowed to kill Emily. Wendigo bites aren't like zombie bites, you'll learn.
Longer Chris' section returning to the cabin: You have to fight the QTEs and kill the wendigos, after which Ashley will let you pass. You never get the opportunity to save the stranger.
If Chris would want to leave while you're Ashley, tap Reasure. After you went in the manhole, just ignore the calling voice that wants you out and stick with Sam.
Section 10
(Protect Josh, Matt, Jessica, Mike, and Sam)
If you're playing as Sam, swim into the pool by the water wheel, then left and up the ledge to find Hannah's diary. That will pay off eventually with Josh.
If you're playing as Matt, you should hide with Jessica and choose the option to Hide Together rather than leaving her.
Finally, playing as Sam, complete the Don't Move by selecting Hide until Mike breaks the lightbulb. Then select Save Mike (complete a Don't Move) and continue selecting Hide until Mike exits the Lodge (as well as everyone else has). Finally, Sam sprints outside and activates the lodge bomb with no more QTE events.
You've saved them all. Even though Josh isn't with you, he should have called "Dr. Hill" while he's still intact and breathing. Some characters will survive, some will not, and the testimonies of the survivors will differ based on your in-game choices. That's how you get the best and worst endings up to Dawn.
