The Silent Hill 2 remake does include some of the same puzzles as the original. However, actually setting the minute, hour, and seconds hands correctly can be a bit of a nuisance if one never played the game or hasn't in ages. How to Solve the Clock Puzzle in Silent Hill 2

You won't have any problem with the solving of that clock puzzle anymore. As with the normal version of this game, on higher difficulties you're only allowed to move the hour, minute, and second hand to specific locations on the clock-except letters are used instead to identify which hand goes where. You won't have to worry about minute-by-minute timing.

You might just find the answer staring at you on the wall, too. Instead of having James push in the clock to open up a different room, the puzzle opens various doors in the renovated mansion. You're going to be the first to take the hour hand and get privileged access to the corresponding "H" door outside the building, which is connected to the fire escape.
