• 25g salted butter
• Zest of 1 orange
• 25g Demerara sugar
• 2 tsp mixed spice
• 320g puff pastry
• 50g chopped orange dark chocolate
Method:
• Mix 25g salted butter, zest of 1 orange, 25g Demerara sugar and 2 tsp mixed spice.
• Unroll 320g puff pastry.
• Evenly spread the spiced butter on the puff pastry leaving a 1cm strip along one edge.
• Sprinkle 50g chopped orange dark chocolate
• Brush uncovered strip with water
• Roll the pastry into a spiral.
• Slice into 19 1cm pieces.
• Arrange into a Christmas Tree Shape on a large, lined baking tray.
• Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, 180°C fan.
• Bake for 18-20 mins.
• Drizzle icing over the pastries (3 tbsp icing sugar and 1 tsp water).
