Piggott is the founder of Pink Coconuts, a platform that helps connect LGBT travelers with Queer-friendly spaces so they can feel comfortable and find community. Piggott created Pink Coconuts for Queer travelers who might feel afraid they won't belong somewhere. "Connection and community is what drives that fear away," says Piggott. After coming through many struggles relating to their sexuality, Piggott knows what it's like to wonder if you'll ever feel that sense of truly belonging while being true to yourself. That's the passion that drives what they have been building. "It's been a journey." What started in a social entrepreneurship incubator in Boulder, Colorado, became an incubator of sorts for their own personal evolution, as Piggott came to feel accepted and comfortable in the community there. Their name, Zi, was the final piece of the puzzle, pulling everything together. "Not she or he, Zi." "When you travel you have that freedom to connect authentically," Piggott says. "You find people who make you feel comfortable, and then it starts to shape your world." "Sharing the experience; that's what community is about."
