Genshin Impact: Where to Find the Purple Obsidian Fragments for the Purple Obsidian Ring Crafting Recipe

There are two possible places for finding Purple Obsidian Fragments - Tezcatepotenco Range: in rare chests, in random events, or through Mastery Points by using the Warrior Challenges within the Masters of the Night-Wind Zone.

1) Valuable and Expensive Chests

You can get a Purple Obsidian Fragment whenever you open a Precious or Luxurious Chest in the Tezcatepetonco Range location. To collect all three required to craft the Purple Obsidian Ring, you may want to search and open as many chests as possible, since the drop rates are low and completely dependent on RNG.

2) Obstacles Faced by Warrior

Completion of the Warrior's Challenges in the land requires defeating the many Master Trainers scattered over Natlan. On completing his challenges set by each of the three Master Trainers in your tribe, you get a Common Chest, an Exquisite Chest, and a Precious Chest. Jump off the cliff after teleporting to Tezcatepetonco Range Statue of the Seven, then head north to the treasure trove. Once you have jumped, spin around and start gliding. You will see the front door of the treasure chest.
