The appearance of Sneasel and Weavile at Snowdrop Tundra in Pokemon Sleep is in accordance with their dual Ice and Dark typing from the mainline series. It's a shame they can't dual-type in-game, seeing as they are Dark kinds.

Greengrass Isle, the starting island, will also include Sneasel and Weavile so even those without Snowdrop Tundra can study these newcomers as well.

You may use the item EZ Travel Ticket to change your research to an island where Sneasel and Weavile will appear if you would like to see these new Pokemon, but select a different island for the week.

Dozing will be a sleep type for both Sneasel and its developed form, Weavile. So, sleeping as a Dozing will most likely make them appear at night in Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle.

As the first evolution, Sneasel will likely be more common for Sleep Research. You can evolve it into Weavile with 80 Sneasel Candy and the Razor Claw item. You won't get that tasty Sleep Research data, however, unless you see Weavile in the wild.
