How to complete The Mysterious Case in Stalker 2

You can achieve the side quest The Mysterious Case in Stalker 2 in the region of Zaton. The main objective of the game is finding a briefcase on a cargo ship and bringing it back. This goal appears to be more unattainable by having to deal with the stalkers that are on the ship. You will receive a large number of Coupons after completing the task.

Stalker 2's Mysterious Case side quest requires a visit to the Sultansk base camp in Skadovsk. Central to the Zaton region is the base camp.

Once you get there, talk to Sonya Kalyna, a trader who can point out any jobs that need done. Sultan is the commander of the Sultansk base camp, and she will suggest you see him.

After speaking with Sultan there, select the prompt: "Kalyna says you've got a job for me." He will then proceed to tell you to find a cargo ship and retrieve his briefcase. This will start the side quest "The Mysterious Case."

Stalker 2 The Mysterious Case Walkthrough

Follow the blue objective marker until you find the cargo ship near the water, about 1 kilometer from the Sultansk base camp. Make your way to the cargo ship in the red container once you have carefully gone around the anomalies.

Climb the ladder upwards to the ship's deck, and unlock the door of the stateroom to head inside. Once you are in, you'll want to have a look at the room in your left for Sultan's briefcase. Another artifact detector popular in Stalker 2 is Hilka Detector.

A door leading outdoors can be found on the opposite side of the cabin, which you can reach from there. When you press the red button to go outside, a gang of stalkers will be waiting for you. Ensign, their leader, will demand that you relinquish Sultan's briefcase. After that, a menu with these options will appear:

Give the briefcase to Ensign, and he won't find anything inside of it. The animals will start attacking you because they think you are trying to dupe him.

"I don't think so" : Choosing this option will initiate an immediate attack by Ensign and his troops.

Both choices will have the same outcome. Eliminate the thugs utilizing the available covers. Make your way back to the Sultansk base camp once you have taken the briefcase on the body of the Ensign. Sultan will thank you for the service and reward you with 2969 Coupons as soon as you turn over everything to him.
