This guide will show you how to activate and utilize Rewrite AI in Windows 11's Notepad. Using a robust artificial intelligence model called GPT, Windows Notepad's new Rewrite tool can help you polish your prose. Rephrasing a sentence, altering the tone of a paragraph, or rewriting the entire text document are all tasks that can be accomplished with AI credits. With only a few clicks, you may utilize Rewrite to alter the language style to formal or casual, shorten or lengthen phrases, or change the formatting to list, paragraph, etc. A new window will open with the revised content and three or five other versions.

The text is processed and the output is provided by Rewrite using an Azure online service. Your information is safe and sound because the service does not save the produced material or text. U.S., U.K., Canadian, French, and Italian Windows 11 insiders have access to Rewrite in preview and are being given 50 credits to use it. How to enable and use Rewrite AI in Notepad

You can still use Notepad's Rewrite feature on your Windows 11 PC, even if your region isn't supported. Just turn it on or activate it. How to do this is as follows:

Use the Win+I shortcut to launch the Windows 11 Settings app.
Go to the Time & language menu, then select Language & region.
Choose "United States" or one of the other supported nations from the drop-down menu.
Bring Notepad up to date with the most recent version.
Log out of your computer and back into it.

Launch Windows Notepad and enter your Microsoft account credentials. In the upper right corner, just above your profile picture, you'll find the Rewrite icon.

Launch Windows Notepad's Settings and locate the AI Features area; if you don't see the Rewrite icon, add it. A Rewrite option will be visible to you there. Toggle it on and off with the toggle.

Launch Notepad or create a new TXT file. In the toolbar, you'll see the Rewrite button; clicking on it will bring you some options:

Another option is to copy and paste the content you want. but, you can rewrite the text using the Length, Tone, and Format options; but, there is no ability to alter or modify a specific version. For this, you can utilize the Try again icon and tweak the settings. You should be aware that starting the rewriting process will deduct one AI credit from your total.

In that box, you can find options to copy and discard, in addition to customizing options. In the bottom right corner, you can also see an icon that shows you how many credits you have left. Press the discard icon to dismiss the pop-up and go back to where you were.
