In Fortnite Season 1, Chapter 6, you'll come across blob-like monsters roaming the landscape. If you're lucky enough to catch one of these Sprites—which come in a variety—they'll bestow unique skills!

How to catch Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6

For the time being, Fortnite only allows you to hold one Sprite at a time, but there are two varieties to capture. Typically, Sprites can be seen strolling around the edges of specified areas, so finding them shouldn't be too difficult. Discovering a Sprite Shrine ahead of time will allow you to utilize it to determine if any Sprites are around.

Put the Sprite in a shrine to get a boon, or keep it in your inventory to use whenever you choose. When you draw a weapon, the Sprite will take the place of your back bling if you want to keep it with you.

• Blue Sprites, known as Water Sprites, have a restorative power.
• A Water Boon, when placed in a Sprite Shrine, grants health to you and your teammates while you swim.
• The white Sprite known as Air Sprite can either harm opposing constructions or create a vortex to propel you into the air, letting you glide away.
• You can get a Wind Boon, which lets you move quicker while your pickaxe isn't working, by adding it to a Sprite Shrine.

To capture a Sprite, you must pursue it until you are close enough, and then, when instructed, hit the interaction button. At some point, the Sprite will slow down, giving you a chance to seize it as you approach. You can absorb the Sprite's power by throwing it to the ground once you have it, but you only get three chances to do so before it vanishes forever.

The Sprite Shrine closest to you will be highlighted the moment you get a Sprite. You get a new Sprite and a Boon and rare goodies when you donate your old one to the Shrine, so it's a win-win! Put your Sprite in the Shrine, wait for the enchantment to work, and then retrieve your stuff.
