Many different paths can be taken in Stalker 2's main and side missions, and these paths influence one another and the game as a whole. From time to time, you may run into scenarios when it appears like you are unable to reach a particular location. This may appear to be a glitch, but it may actually be a deliberate design decision. At least two of these occurrences, though, occur throughout the Hot on the Trial objective and are most certainly bugs.

If you're having trouble with Stalker 2's Hot on the Trail quest, this is how you fix it.

How to Fix Hot on the Trail Bug in Stalker 2

Your primary goal in the "Hot on the Trail" task is to make it to the Noontide base. On the other hand, an NPC by the name of Stone will stand in your way at the entrances when you get there.

You can earn a Ward Badge from Colonel Korshunov in the "Back to the Slag Heap" task if you sided with the Wards and showed him the Unusual PDA. Stone will let you pass if you show him this credential.

However, you would be unable to pass past the gate if you showed the Unusual PDA to Scar instead of Colonel Korshunov. Stalker 2's designers purposefully made this design choice, even though it seems like a bug that prevents players from entering the Noontide headquarters during the "Hot on the Trail" objective.

Under these conditions, you must return to the Sawmill in order to proceed with the quest. An NPC called MUTE will be waiting for you there with a side mission. You can eventually gain entry to the Noontide base by completing this side quest, regardless of whether you have the Ward Badge or not during the "Hot on the Trail" task.

Upon reaching the Sawmill, you may discover that the NPCs have transformed into zombies and that MUTE has vanished. We advise restoring a save file from before you enter the Sawmill in the event that this occurs.

Once you've reloaded, talk to Scar until you've used all of your options, and then exit through the main door. Locate MUTE outside; engage him in conversation and take up the side quest he offers. With this, you can enter the Noontide base.

Stalker 2's Hot on the Trail mission has an issue where the inductor doesn't show up in the room.

As you progress through Stalker 2's "Hot on the Trail" objective, Professor Lodochka will request that you acquire an inductor from the Waste Processing facility's subterranean region. Defeating the Controller in the Boiler Room will get you access to a room where you may locate it.

Find the Inductor by going to the white door in the hallway; it's after you go through the hole in the wall. It is common practice to place the inductor on the middle shelf of the central compartment. Having said that, the inductor might not be in this room for certain players.

In the event that the Inductor is not visible to you, it is quite probable that the "Hot on the Trail" mission contains an error. The good news is that a simple solution exists. Put the game on hold, exit the app, and then launch it again. Return to the room after saving your file, and you should be able to see the inductor on the middle shelf.
