Here you have a step-by-step guide so you can learn how to beat the Biolizard in Sonic X Shadow Generations.

A number of foes that Sonic had encountered in the past return in Sonic X: Shadow Generations. In order to defeat Black Doom in White Space, Sonic is confronted by a number of classic enemies from Sonic and Shadow's past. In the backstory of Gerald Robotnik's to create the Ultimate Lifeform, the Biolizard—the prototype that was before Shadow—returns in glory as the first boss.

Known best by its nickname, the Biolizard is a gargantuan, genetically engineered lizard powered by an extremely volatile energy source. The Biolizard in Sonic X Shadow Generations is far and away more threatening of a foe than in its last outing-it really is the Ultimate Lifeform Prototype, as billed. This guide will cover the Biolizard's fighting style and battle strategy; a section at the bottom briefly touches on Hard Mode and how it modifies the fight.

Sonic X: Shadow and Generations - Biolizard Strategy by Marche_Ragnarok

At the start of this fight, the Biolizard uses plenty of its Sonic Adventure 2 fighting style. It's going to be flying toward Shadow, constantly biting it, and then attempt to dive down and swipe its tail at it. If you quickly give a burst of boost to get far enough ahead, you can avoid these by moving away from the impending bites or sweeps.

After it does this a few times, it starts to charge up and shoot energy balls forward, which travel along the ground. You will want to time your jumps so you jump high into the air just as the Biolizard retracts its jaws in preparation to attack. Then you can do your double jump to clear right over those orbs. Do this repeatedly until the Biolizard breaks, at which point you will be able to homing attack on the rails to climb up onto it and attack its weak spot. Repeatedly pressing the homing attack button now will be able to deal enough damage to the weak spot to activate phase 2.

When you've taken about a quarter of its health away, the Biolizard will go into phase 2 where it starts to sprout wings and tentacles. In this phase, it primarily attacks by focusing on a spot on the ground and then, after a second or two, throwing one of its wings into that spot, creating a shockwave. These shockwaves can be dodged by jumping onto the tentacle wings and homing into them. Just keep mashing the button to keep beating on them until they blow up.

Now, the homing attack can target the floating bubbles which appear to float up to the Biolizard's weak spot and re-attack it upon an explosion of a wing. Once you do this, it'll constantly bash the wing with shockwaves until you attack it. Do this until its health is half gone, then repeat.

When you get an opening, Chaos Control will keep the Biolizard in place for a short while, opening it up for more time to attack the tentacles. Before anything else, position the tentacle so you can attack it.

When the Biolizard's health reaches half, it starts jumping around and coming down with a lot of force to create three shockwaves. Hop the shockwaves, but stay in proximity to one of the locations it is jumping to - just not on top of. Turn on Chaos Control and lock a tentacle into place, otherwise you have to hit each one a few times in the hopes of getting one in a pose long enough to burst it.

Phase 3: This starts when the Biolizard jumps up to latch onto a wall-so just keep doing this until its health drops to about a quarter. In this phase, the Biolizard sends homing missiles towards Shadow-you neutralize them using the Doom Spears. Release the button and fire whenever you lock on. Because the Biolizard will stop at nothing and try to overpower you with the raw amount of rounds, tap the button down once you have fired to latch onto the successive volley as fast as possible.

How long this goes on is not of much consequence as, after a while, the Biolizard will shoot a massive energy orb that you'll be able to block with Chaos Control and then rush forward into a homing attack that sends it flying backwards. Following this, simply do homing attacks on the bubbles to latch back onto the Biolizard at its weak point for even more damage and a quick time event that you can use to emerge victorious.

Sonic X Shadow Generations: How to Defeat the Biolizard

The Biolizard actually has one of the easier Hard Mode changes, but easy differs from not challenging to fight against. There are no Rings anywhere in the battle, but the Biolizard does indeed fight as it did in the normal version. Shadow is not immune to one-hit kills this time; therefore you have to be as careful as possible, and pay utmost attention to its attacks, if you ever plan on winning. You will not have to start the fight over when you die, because the fight saves at 3/4 health when it gets wings and at 1/4 health when it latches onto the wall.

With these strategies and practices undeniably, you will be able to defeat Biolizard successfully and proceed further in the game.
