On the title screen of Factorio, click the second to last option on the entry screen to open the list of mods. On the Manage tab make sure the following three mods are enabled:
Platform Rails
Extent of excellence
The Age of Space Flight
Curiously, the mod and expansion of Factorio: Space Age require the true Space Age to work, which in return requires two more features: Elevated Rails and Quality. Some planets require these two new qualities. You can activate, on top of Factorio, Elevated Rails and Quality without activating the extension of Space Age, which is quite neat.
Although some of the developers of your mods may have updated them to be compatible with the expansion, most probably won't have. Just check back for more updates as more mods roll in to support the new Factorio: Space Age expansion.
Click Apply once you have ticked the appropriate Factorio: Space Age expansion modules; it will reload the game for you automatically. When this is done, you will see the new Factorio: Space Age load screen-that will mean the expansion is unlocked and ready to go! And one last thing: THE FACTORY MUST EXPAND!
