Every new season brings along an episodic exotic weapon with special abilities. This seasonal exotic works well during Revenant's team games. Here is how to acquire the rare Alethonym grenade launcher in Destiny 2.

Alethonym's Location in Destiny 2

Alethonym is Irrespective of using the premium or free version of the game; the Alethonym grenade launcher is available via the Season Pass. Buying the Season Pass grants the Alethonym upon instant purchase. Free players will need to reach rank 40 to get the weapon. The fastest way to level up and get the weapon is through the seasonal tasks in Episode Revenant. These are listed on the reward track on the Season Pass page. Bounties are a good alternative to seasonal tasks if you've exhausted them. You get seasonal bounties through one of several vendors in the Tower, or from Eido in the Last City - provided you have a season pass in hand, of course. If you complete these bounties, your experience gain throughout the season will go way up.

Is the Alethonym worth using?

The intrinsic trait Harvester Spike makes Alethonym the only significant ammo-grenade launcher in the game. The projectile fired by the weapon after that becomes straight-line grenade launcher rounds known as Harvester Spikes. Even the final strokes of the weapon leave behind Vestiges in the place where the target died.

Vestigial Alchemy: As you proceed through the game, you will notice a bar on the bottom left corner of the screen titled Vestigial Alchemy.
