While PUBG on PC lets you edit your profile for free as many times as you want, it's not the same for its mobile version. You only get a couple of free chances, after which you need to spend some real money, which is totally worth it if you've finally found the perfect nickname or outfit that fits your personality better than what you have now.

So, here's everything you need to know about how to change your character and name in PUBG Mobile.

How to Change Your Name in PUBG Mobile 

To change your nickname in PUBG Mobile, you need a name change card. There are three ways to get a name change card, two of which won't require you to spend a single cent.

Complete the progression missions from level one to ten in PUBG Mobile and you'll receive a free Name Change Card, so if you're a new player, make sure to take advantage of it.

To get another free card, don't log into your account for a couple of weeks. When you log back in after the break, the game will automatically start a "comeback" event, meant to help you get back in and keep playing. This event will reward you with a free Name Change Card by completing a few missions. If you're wondering how long you need to be away to trigger the event, unfortunately, there's no concrete answer: some players were able to get it with a week of inactivity, while others had to wait a month. I would recommend staying away for at least two weeks before logging back in, just to be safe.

If you've already used the two opportunities above, the only option you'd have left is to buy a Name Change Card for 180 UC from the PUBG Mobile store, which will translate to around five dollars. You'd find it in the Treasures tab of the Store.

If you already have a name change card, make sure to use it before the timer runs out if you have one. To use it, do the following: Open your inventory and tap the Box icon.

Tap the name change card and then Use.

Type in your new name and tap Confirm when ready.

You can use a name change card once per day.

How to Change Your Appearance in PUBG Mobile

 Unlike your name, editing your appearance in PUBG Mobile is easier and doesn't affect your wallet. However, if you're a new player, it may require a bit of practice.

To change your appearance, first switch to the default PUBG Mobile character. You can't edit the appearance of special characters like Victor, Anna, Sara, or Lorenzo. If you're not sure how to switch back to the original character, follow these steps: Tap the Workshop option at the bottom of the lobby screen and select Character.

Now, tap the Change Character option at the top left of the screen.

Tap on Use under the Default Character option. Lastly, tap on Use once more to confirm.

Once you've switched to the original PUBG Mobile character, you can now change their appearance to match your style. Follow these steps: Open your Inventory.

Tap the Change Appearance button in the left column.

You'll now load the appearance change menu you found when you first signed up. Here, you'll be able to modify your character's gender alongside their hair, face, and facial hair.

Please note that you need Battle Points (BP) to purchase the set of new styles you want. You may have to pay up to 3000 BP depending on the edits you choose and the number of changes you want. Some styles are locked under special or time-limited rewards, indicated by a lock icon on their portraits. They cannot be purchased.

Unlike UC, you cannot purchase BP with real money. If you've been playing PUBG Mobile for a long time, you've likely accumulated enough BP for an appearance change. If you're a new player, consider completing missions to accumulate enough of these points.
