By visiting the Contract Coin Merchant, which can be found in every major town, including Kastleton, you'll be able to get the most basic kind of bait, which is paste. A box with fifty pieces of bait will cost you thirty contract coins. There is, however, a catch, and by the way, we are not talking about fish here, because you can only get one box per day, so it means you have to make most of the parts you get.

What's more, after catching some fish, you can dissolve them and get even more bait for free. There are other types of baits, like Fish Fillet and Worm, but these kinds of baits cannot be purchased from the merchant for sale at the moment. Instead, you will have to find them by exploring the vicinity; therefore, you shouldn't be negligent about the chests you across and check what items drop from the chest.
