How to beat Lord Jabu-Jabu in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom

Ever since Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, Lord Jabu-Jabu has been pulling players of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom into his stomach like some kind of Time Traveler Transporter. The Lord Jabu-Jabu in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom wants you inside his stomach, too-just not for the reasons you're used to finding him in there.

It's actually a Rift-born imposter, like most of the usually harmless remainder that have recently started rampaging up and down the rivers and beaches of Jabul Waters and Zora Cove in Elite: The Gathering. Thus, he will be thinking of you as his next meal if you are successful in undermining his efforts to disrupt the friendship between the chiefs of River and Sea Zora.

I would recommend avoiding this fight's details and going back to buy the Zora Flippers from the store in Jabul Waters. Once the fight starts, you will be grateful to have spent those four hundred rupees on them, even though they were somewhat overpriced.

The Start of Battles and Combat: Jabu-Jabu will initiate the fight by upchucking various items from within his stomach. Expect anything, for this overgrown carp can spew out everything from boats and containers to Tanglers, and even the odd heart. After the torrent has stopped, you need to swim towards the nearest piece of debris. You have to make a monster called Echo, which must be of the water attribute. This will help kill any adversary that may have spawned. I recommend going for the Chompfin Echo, but if you didn't get it from Zora Cove, take the Tangle Lv. 2 or Biri Echo works too.

The Echo is going to help clear out the water which, in a little while, you'll be jumping back into depending on your decision. If Jabu-Jabu's done spitting up his lunch, he'll immediately continue to lunge for you, clearing away any wreckage that is floating in his way. When Jabu-Jabu charges his special move, you'll want to dive and duck until he's done charging it.

By now, all of you who have played any of the Zelda games that have Jabu-Jabu in them probably know what is going to happen. You read that right: if you can't fight the stream, Jabu-Jabu is going to start sucking everything in that pool into his maw - including you. It was about this point when years of subconscious Zelda boss design training finally kicked in and I knew what I had to do to get it done. Summon a Bombfish Echo, then watch as nature shows you there's always a bigger fish. Then just watch in wonder as the larger fish went through internal combustion leaving him naked.

The instant Jabu-Jabu is helpless, into your swordsman form and begin to whack him in the face. There is a second phase for Jabu-Jabu, just like every other boss in EoW, but the only thing that really changes is the speed at which he strikes its enemies. Once you have landed enough hits, the fake Jabu-Jabu falls to the ground, spitting out the River and Sea Zora he has swallowed and removing the blockage that obstructs the path to the Jabul Ruins dungeon.
