How To Get Dagger Talisman in Elden Ring

The Dagger Talisman is one of the best talismans available for any build that would include backstab and parry in Elden Ring, notably by increasing the critical damage output of the player.

That comes in especially useful for Dexterity builds, but even if Dexterity is not your main priority, this talisman will make backstabs a little more potent. Later on in the game, you can find the Dagger Talisman in Volcano Manor. However, you can get it a lot sooner than that.

Dagger Talisman location in Elden Ring

To obtain the Dagger Talisman, complete Rya's Questline to be allowed into Volcano Manor. Once inside, head down into the manor, take the elevator up, go up the staircase, and out onto the balcony to the northeast platform.

Clear the east platform of the lava snails and drop down to the next level. Head north towards the lava pool and carefully make your way left across the area to the left building. Go in through the window, leave and move past the snake monster that is sitting on the stairs. Go into the left room and use the opening on the right side, continuing straight down the hall. Take out the two lava snakes and head into the northern door.

Second floor, across the hall, and through the door guarded by the dragon statues. Head across the hanging cages and drop down to the lower platform. Climb the stairs, kill the enemy, and head out through the opening. On the right ledge, you will find the corpse containing the Dagger Talisman.

How to Get Dagger Talisman Early Game?

To get early access to the Dagger Talisman, use the Schoolhouse Classroom Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes region, then take the elevator downstairs via the water wheel.

We recommend using your runes to upgrade or use Sacrificial Twig or Twiggly Crack Tear, save them, as you will have to die at the hands of Abductor Virgin. Once you've died, you'll be taken to the inquisition chamber of Volcano Manor.

From the inquisition chamber, head south off the cliff and fall down. Run southeast down the hall until Magma Wyrm pops up in the area. Climb the stairs of wood, small, pop up cage elevator.

Take the elevator once again, and upon approaching the Temple of Eiglay Site of Grace, you'll encounter the boss Godskin Noble. Don't get inside; instead, turn left as you cross the bridge that leads to the entrance of Volcano Manor. The steps detailed in the above will reward you with the Dagger Talisman without necessarily needing to follow Rya's Questline.

Dagger Talisman Effects

Well, the Dagger Talisman offers a very high 17% Critical Damage bonus, further amplified upon a successful critical strike. That makes it very important for stealth builds relying on Backstabs and Parry attacks.

Of course, do remember that the Critical Damage bonus with the Dagger Talisman does not extend to ranged weapons, so your bow headshots will not benefit from the increased critical damage.
