How To Reach Rose Church in Elden Ring

Elden Ring is full of complex character arcs interwoven with this vast world. Most the NPCs have original questlines that give players the reward for their exploration and socialization. One very interesting character is the White Mask Varre, introducing players to the in-game PvP mechanic. You will only need to talk to him in the Rose Church located in Limgrave to gain Festering Bloody Fingers—items that allow you to invade other worlds. This questline will take you through an entirely different experience in the Elden Ring.

Where To Find Rose Church In Elden Ring

Rose Church is located deep within Liurnia of the Lakes, an area that has its serenity with the slight touch of ominousness. This region is accessible only after finishing up the Stormveil Castle challenges and is best traversed by foot or horseback for exploration. Head northwest from the large lake, or west directly from the Academy Gate Site of Grace, to find Rose Church. There, standing in front of the church you'll encounter White Mask Varre. Speaking with this character doesn't only introduce you to him, but also rewards you with Festering Bloody Fingers—unlocking Elden Ring's PvP experience.

What's In Rose Church

Although Rose Church is mainly the place from which White Mask Varre's questline begins, one of the more interesting questlines in the game, ultimately ending in some very rewarding PvP, the church itself is still worth a visit. Just watch out for some nasty baddies that can kill you pretty easily, and make sure to use some bleed resistance items.

Lesser Sanguine Noble

Closer to the center of Rose Church is a tougher boss, the Lesser Sanguine Noble, which parries attacks and can inflict bleed status. It'll only attack mostly with just plain combos but possesses a dangerous AoE attack that lingers as a pool of bleed damage. Defeating the Lesser Sanguine Noble is hard, but it only rewards runes upon victory.

Nomadic Cookbook [12]

On the right from the entrance of Rose Church, you'll meet a Nomadic Cookbook [12], which is very helpful in crafting Cursed-Blood Pots. This throwable consumable marks enemies with Accursed Blood, making your summoned Spirit Ashes treat them as priority targets. This form of strategic control over the battlefield may be very valuable.

It's kind of an odd building—the church—and you'll find it on a small island in the middle of the lake. Be careful because the place is full of hostile creatures.
