On your left, you will find a magic-mist-covered door. To access this region and take the Misericorde inside, you will need to slot a Stonesword Key into the imp statue. You can get this key item in a couple of ways. One is on a platform over a mess hall containing the Grafted Scion mini-boss in Stormveil Castle. Another can be found on a corpse on a broken roof near the Rampart Tower.
In the locked room, you will find two soldiers. Fortunately, they are just normal mobbing and not too much of a problem on their own. You will find the Misericorde dagger on the corpse next to the table.
Note there are two more valuable items in this room: you can pick up the Hawk Crest Wooden Shield from the sitting corpse; another human body lies in front of the cauldron with a lootable Iron Whetblade.
