Today we bring you a complete article that will talk about Black Ops 6 Zombies: explanation.

Undead hordes, look away. The Requiem team's back in full swing to take back the world from the living dead in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. At this point, Treyarch has just managed to kick up Zombies another notch once more, redefining it with an experience that is at once familiar and new. With a fleshy storyline, continuous updates planned, and much more on deck, Black Ops 6 Zombies is ready to hook its fans for months to come.

Black Ops 6 Zombies explained

The original core development team behind the classic Zombies mode is back at work for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The return of Treyarch really comes full circle, as the creators of the very first Zombies mode get things back underway. Following the brief experiment with a different approach that was Modern Warfare 3, Treyarch is taking a decidedly more nostalgic approach to Zombies in Black Ops 6, but one that's also innovative.

Round-based returns

Black Ops 6 Zombies brings classic, round-based gameplay from years gone by, complete with Easter eggs, power-ups, and – of course – the iconic Wonder Weapons. For fans of the old-school Zombies formula, be pleased to know this fan favourite makes a triumphant return. In sharp contrast to the open-world nature of MW3 Zombies, Black Ops 6 offers up a focused wave-based challenge.

New maps

Black Ops 6 Zombies picks up with the mysterious Terminus, a desolate garrison located in the Philippine Sea. This is the grim location where the game's protagonists have been imprisoned since events of Black Ops Cold War. While Terminus serves up the initial Zombies experience, players can expect more maps to pad out the undead universe. The second map, Liberty Falls, is due to release as part of the core game; very little information has been shared on this map. A Liberty Falls reveal and the future of Black Ops 6 Zombies is scheduled for the Call of Duty Next event on the 28th of August.

Dark Aether storyline

The Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline picks up directly after Black Ops Cold War, five years after what seemed to be a sure victory by the Requiem team against Dark Aether. The return of your favorite characters, both old and new, pits them against the consequences of the dimensional rift closure.

Edward Richtofen, the mastermind behind the previous saga, returns as the main antagonist of the Terminus map and Black Ops 6 Zombies story as a whole. His return comes after Samantha Maxis' ultimate sacrifice to lock the Dark Aether from within, giving birth to a new chapter in the Zombies universe.

New and returning characters

The Terminus map features a playable cast that includes Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie "Mac" Carver, Dr. Elizabeth Grey, Maya Aguinaldo, with the addition of non-playable characters like Dr. William Peck, Oskar Strauss, and the chopper pilot, Stoney "Raptor One" Maddox.

Augments

Augments are customizable upgrades that beef up Field Upgrades, Perks, and Ammo Mods in Black Ops 6 Zombies. By unlocking and equipping Augments, players are able to create loadouts that best fit their playstyle. Learn more about Augments and how they affect gameplay in our detailed guide.

Loadouts, Salvage, and Essence return

As such, Black Ops 6 will carry over the exact same system that existed in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Players will be using the same Essence and Salvage in-game currencies to upgrade and make purchases.

New Weapon

The Beamsmasher is the very first Wonder Weapon that can be found in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Looking more like a light machine gun, the fearsome weapon discharges a powerful beam of Aetheric energy. Its standout feature, in an exterior form factor, is the Resonator Focus flaps, focusing the weapon's power. Players will reload this gun by replacing the side-mounted DAPP canister.

Save and Quit

Black Ops 6 Zombies provides a feature that no other Zombies game has given, and this is allowing the solo player to save their progress and return into a previous state of the match. While in the past, quitting and re-entering would mean the loss of all advancement, now, with a new level of flexibility and convenience, players can do so. However, one save per player is permitted. _marshall_

 GobbleGums

GobbleGums are collectible, single-use power-ups in Black Ops 6 Zombies, available in various rarities from Rare to Ultra. Players can maintain a pack of five GobbleGums for each match; one can change them through the course of gameplay. Unlike traditional loadout items, unused GobbleGums are retained between matches and will not be lost as a result of disconnections.

Black Ops 6 Zombies is pushing toward a more fleshed-out central gameplay experience, while tacking on an engaging storyline for old and new fans of the mode.
