VIDEO ASICS Athletes I Clayton Young TV commercial 2024 • ASICS Athletes I Clayton Young 0:00 I'm Clayton Young as6 Elite marathoner 0:02 and I want you to move your mind with 0:05 as6 I always say that running is 50% 0:08 mental 50% physical and that's even more 0:10 so in a marathon it's not the physical 0:13 that carries you the distance it's the 0:14 mental toughness as you reach that 20 M 0:17 Mark and you're pushing that last 10K to 0:18 the Finish you know the body that you 0:20 train but it's the mind that takes you 0:23 to the Finish Line you know Olympian is 0:25 a title that I've been looking forward 0:26 to for a long time and it's one that can 0:28 never be taken away from a mental 0:30 perspective the marathon is is daunting 0:33 when I'm doing my training initially I'm 0:35 really excited but my body is not in 0:37 shape and so it's the mind that leads 0:39 the body uh but then as my fitness 0:42 increases and my body gets faster and 0:44 faster that feeds into the confidence of 0:47 my mind and so they really work hand in 0:49 hand back and forth you know I got to be 0:51 honest like this is very daunting you 0:53 know if you look at the the descending 0:55 order of times I'm probably ranked 60th 0:58 plus and a lot of people would say oh 1:00 you don't even have a shot time doesn't 1:03 matter especially at the Olympics it's 1:05 going to be very difficult and it's 1:06 going to really level the playing field 1:08 and it can be anybody's day if I did it 1:10 once I can do it again why not me
