Get comfortable because now we're going to show how to unlock All Treasure Dungeons in Final Fantasy XIV.

Treasure Dungeons are an easy way to get Gil quickly and are a treasure trove of uncommon gifts in Final Fantasy XIV. Every expansion, except A Realm Reborn, has had its set of dungeons, which could be entered with the use of Timeworn Maps.

Just a note for The Hunt for Goetia's Ultimog challenge: you actually don't have to complete any specific Treasure Dungeon. Remember that even Treasure Dungeons of lower levels will sync you to the level of the dungeon.

However, if you are familiar with your basic rotations, then you can actually complete the most advanced dungeons-available Level 100-with just two players.

Treasure Hunt, and How to Use Timeworn Maps in Final Fantasy XIV

The precursor to diving into the game is acquiring the ability to read Treasure Dungeon maps. You do this by completing the "Treasures and Tribulations" side quest, which requires you to attain level 36 in any battle class. To do so, speak with H'loonh in Eastern La Noscea at X:21.1, Y:21.1. You will now have access to both the Decipher and Dig activities.

Right-click any Timeworn Map in inventory and select "Decipher". Here is a map that you can use which has the locations circled with an X. You will have to decide which zone you want to head to because the map is a severely zoomed-in and small part of a much larger map:.

When you think you're there, engage in the Dig action; if a coffer is within reach, one will pop up and you'll be notified. Otherwise, you'll probably want to reevaluate your map and make the needed adjustments because you're in the wrong spot.

After the enemies pop up, kill them and then click the coffer. The second time you open the chest, you can have some sweet rewards or, if Lady Luck wants to smile upon you, a portal will appear and take you inside the Treasure Dungeon.

How to Obtain Timeworn Maps in Final Fantasy XIV

In Final Fantasy XIV, there are several ways you can possess a Timeworn Map:

Your Miner, Botanist, or Fisher self found them.

They can be bought on the Marketboard.

You can buy special Timeworn Maps from the Itinerant Moogle during Tomestone events.

For Final Fantasy XIV, exactly how does a Treasure Dungeon work?

Outside of Heavensward, every expansion pack for Final Fantasy XIV contains one of two types of Treasure Dungeons.

Normal Treasure Dungeons

As you enter a "regular" Treasure Dungeon, you'll be transported to a platform centered around a chest. The one who solved the map and created the Treasure Dungeon is the only one able to open the treasure chest. In order to get your rewards from your floors, you need to use the coffer first. That will trigger waves of opponents; defeat them, then use the coffer again.

Periodically, you will be given the opportunity to gamble the contents of the coffer by playing a game of higher or lower. If you happen to guess correctly, the amount in that coffer doubles every single time. The player who can interact with the Coffer gets the lion's share of the gifts, but other players will periodically get the opportunity to receive gifts.

Either way, you'll have to gamble on two doors before you can even consider gambling on the coffer. In the Treasure Dungeon, there will be two doors: one leading to further levels and another that would open and reveal a trap that will make you leave the Dungeon forever. Choose wisely because, again, this is totally based on chance.

Each and every "regular" Treasure Dungeon has a sum total of five levels, the latter of which contains the boss. Defeat this final boss, and you will receive riches and bragging rights.

Shifting Treasure Dungeons

Enter a "shifting" Treasure Dungeon, and you will enter a magical sphere with icons surrounding it. This sphere can only be interacted with and invoked by the original spawner of the Treasure Dungeon.

As they do this, icons that outline the circle will light up in sequence as the camera pans into a top-down view. You need to destroy the adversary that appears where the light stops to move forward. You will be kicked out of the Dungeon if you are not careful.

Like other 'regular' Treasure Dungeons, this facility is home to five different invocations that combine to culminate in a boss fight. If you can down this boss, riches and unique stuff are yours for the having.

Final Fantasy XIV's Every Treasure Dungeon

You can buy any rank of Timeworn Map off the Marketboard, but fair warning, the lower rank maps sell for far, far cheaper than their higher rank, newer brethren. For the sake of this listing, I'll just name where those maps are located.
