- A new driver will be installed automatically if available. Check to see if the problem is resolved once the installation is complete. If there is no driver in the list of network adapters, click the adapter above and select Uninstall device this time. Review the list of network adapters.
- A confirmation box will appear. To confirm that you will uninstall the device, click Yes.
- Restart your computer once the uninstallation is complete. Windows will reinstall the redundancy driver by restarting your computer.
3. Manually assign network conditions.
Sometimes, entering the correct network details, such as password, SSID, and security protocol, when adding another network manually can resolve your connectivity issues. You can avoid authentication errors when connecting to the network because this process ensures that the proper security protocols, such as WPA2-Personal and AES, are in place.
- Click the Wi-Fi icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen and select Network & Internet settings.
- To add a new connection, go to Wi-Fi settings, click Manage known networks, and then click Add network.
- To select the security protocol, enter the name of your given network. There you will need to check your router settings to confirm this information if you are not sure which security protocol to use.
- Press the Win key on your keyboard, type Command Prompt, and thener settings.
- Type ipconfig in the Command Prompt window and then hit Enter.
- Look for and copy the address listed under "Default Gateway" usually it is something along the lines of a set of numbers, such as 192.168.x.x. Click the Enter key on your keyboard and open your web browser. Copy this address into the address bar. Upon doing so, the control panel of your router should pop up.
- Enter your router's registration details. If you don't know it, you can ask your Internet service provider for it. Once inside, look for an option related to wireless security setup. Select it, and check what network security protocol is in use-whether WPA2 or WPA3.
- Go back to the "Add Network" section on your computer, enter the correct security protocol, and type in your Wi-Fi password. Click "View" afterward.
