Want to learn how to transfer oil and other resources in Frostpunk 2? Don't you worry then; pay attention.

Frostpunk 2 is a deeply featured city-building survival game. The apparent endless struggle for a prosperous civilization in the beginning of this game soon entraps the player too.

Early in the game, players are allowed to establish exploration groups that go out into the Frostlands. This might seem at first like a peripheral activity, but it's actually quite crucial to the plot of the game, and towards collecting supplies that the player is going to need to survive the nuclear winter.

How to Create Outposts in Frostpunk 2

There are several interactive spots in the outlands, all of which will have choices for you as you investigate them. You can claim a large resource cache for your city's stockpile at some and establish a supply line to collect the resources at others.

An exploration party can dispatch the number of given reserves, then they will return with supplies to Frostland. Slithering their way towards your center, you can see them in the Frostlands menu. Similarly, it goes for the supply lines too-a player has got to explore the area first then use Trails or Skyways to link it with the main city.

It involves completion of the search and creating a colony for the Old Dreadnought in order to move the player along with the story mode into chapter 1. From that point on, players can collect oil and send it back to their central hub. Resources available around the colony can be collected once it is established.

Oil & Other Resources Transfer in Frostpunk 2

Contrasting with your main city, when you first set up your colony, it will need different resources. Resources extracted in a colony will stay there until the player moves them via the resource transfer menu.

Click the Expeditions symbol in the upper right corner of your screen to access Frostlands. Once a colony has been established a small icon will pop up beside the colony.

Click that button to open the colony menu where you'll see your city and your colonies. When you click the icon of the city or colony a context menu will pop up with a number of settings.

Click the eye icon to travel to the selected colony, the people icon to transfer population, and the box icon to transfer resources.

Click the box icon to adjust the quantity of each resource you are transferring to each colony, choose from a menu including the use of a slider.

The trails and skyways between two points determine how many resources you can send at a time from your colony to your city. If the amount of resources you would like to transfer exceeds the capacity your Trails and Skyways can handle, then the transfer button will gray out.

After setting the sliders, you activate the transfer with the bottom button of the menu.

You can also transfer population from one colony to another with the people icon in the colony context menu. Remember that workforce is only about 60-80% of population.

How to Increase Transfer Limit in Frostpunk 2

The transfer limit is a function of the connection between your Frostpunk 2 colony and hub. If the two areas are interconnected by Trails, then one will be allowed to transfer just 500 resources in one go-250 to either side.

Regardless of how many interconnections you will make between your colony and hub, the transfer limit remains constant.

But if they're relying on Skyways to build out their link, they're capped at 600 each for a maximum of 1200. Skyways, once more, are an incredibly worthy investment though they are more expensive than trails. They will take a lot of pressure off your colony and hub by making resource flow way easier.

That would be all with How to Transfer Oil and Other Resources in Frostpunk 2, so we hope we could help a lot.
