Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has two kinds of packs: the regular ones and the rare ones. The first is similar to God packs from Japanese sets but features rare cards instead of the usual one-hitters.
Rare Packs can only be opened 0.050 percent of the time, while Regular Packs occur 99.950 percent of the time.
For regular Packs, the first three cards will always be of the most basic rarity, although rarer cards do have a good chance of showing up in the fourth and fifth. With the Rare Packs, these standards are entirely removed from pulls, essentially giving you a pack containing only star-rated cards or the prestigious Gold Crown cards.
There is no pity system in Pokémon TCG Pocket; every pack you open requires appeasement to the good graces of the pack gods. For an increased chance to draw rarer cards, you can use the Wonder Pick feature if you so wish.
