If you don't know how to defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sands in Black Myth Wukong, here is a guide that will help you with it.

The creatures of Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong were formidable, but the dangers in Chapter 2 are even more intensive. There's barely a moment within the game's second chapter when you aren't running into towering enemies in every nook and cranny. One such formidable foe is the First Prince of Flowing Sands. Most boss encounters don't give you an option, but when it comes to this fearsome creature, you will have your ways of summoning him in two ways. Let's dive deeper into the summoning of the First Prince of Flowing Sands and how to kill it.

Summoning the First Prince

During the early parts of Chapter 2, you'll face a really exhausting dual boss fight with the Second Rat Prince and the King of Flowing Sands. Which of them dies will highly affect your fight against the First Prince of Flowing Sands in the future.

It can be summoned shortly after the fight using the Pungent Flesh Chunk, received after defeating the King of Flowing Sands. However, defeating the Second Rat Prince first will make the King retreat into a nearby cave and immediately summon the First Prince.

In any case of previous outcomes, you must head down to the cave left of the unreachable gate and inside this cave, either use the Pungent Flesh Chunk on the cliff to invoke the First Prince or wait some time until a cutscene is activated in which the King invokes his son. Once he does, the battle starts with fanfare.

First Prince of Flowing Sands – Boss Strategy

The First Prince of Flowing Sands is actually rather manageable compared to other enemies in Black Myth: Wukong, though he may prove to be very dangerous. Besides his vulnerable times from certain actions, his slow and predictable attacks make him a lot less formidable.

Detailed strategy on how to defeat the First Prince:

Master your Evasive Maneuvers: Use your evasion skill to render the Prince's attacks ineffective. If you have such a talent, after dodging, you can continue combos-use it for maximum damage.

Exploit Vulnerabilities: The moment the Prince jumps and lands on his back, for that second, he is vulnerable. Be sure to fire some good combos or charged attacks at this moment.

Environmental Advantage: Use the environment of the arena to your advantage. Lure him towards the black metal wall and allow him to slam into it, momentarily dazing him.

Elemental Advantage: Using the Red Tiles transformation, which inflicts fire-type damage, may work to your advantage since the First Prince could be vulnerable to fire-based attacks.

You get an Arhat Gold Piece and a piece of silk for defeating the First Prince of Flowing Sands, which, although it may seem insignificant now, it actually unlocks a secret area and some crafting material needed for particular pieces of armor. So, this fight is worth your while.

Remember to be patient and precise in this combat. With due time and carefully carrying out your strategy to exploit the weaknesses of the First Prince, you will emerge victorious at the end.
