Beyond Natlan's central valley, perils fill the land. A wild Saurian-the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant-is said to reside in the northern mountains. Sure, many of the tribes get along well enough with the Saurians, but this one is different because it actually presents a danger. Thankfully, though, it tends to avoid the settlements. For those searching out Mualani's Ascension materials, though, the Qucusaur presents a decent challenge to take on.

Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant Location in Genshin Impact

Natlan is very mountainous, and the hike up to the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is quite an ordeal. Defeat this behemoth boss with an exploration/climbing team in tow. Personally, I found Wanderer and Kachina invaluable for crossing cliffs and scaling mountains fast. Their glide and climb abilities, respectively, are pretty indispensable in traversing Natlan's treacherous terrain.

Here's a detailed step-by-step guide:

1. Teleport to the Basin of Unnumbered Flames Waypoint in Natlan, which is north at Huitztli Hill. This will serve as a starting point for the journey.

2. Make your way through the rocky formations using the marked path. The actual path may not be so visible and clear from view because of so many obstacles. Keep keen eyes open for the visual cues and landmarks. There may be steep cliffs or narrow passages where much caution will be required to negotiate.

3. Find the cave in the mountain. Perhaps the entrance may be hidden or not so conspicuous to the sight; hence, one is to look closely at the place where the cave is believed to be situated. Then, enter the opened cave, following the path inside it.

4. Follow the waterfall deeper into the cave. You'll find that going down in the cave, there are some hidden dangers and obstacles you will need to pass through with great care.

5. Inside the cave, reach the Teleport Waypoint. The waypoint here will be useful for teleportation back in case one needs to rest or resupply.

6. Find a floating combat arena and the cloud from where the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant appears; it will be very well differentiable from the Teleport Waypoint. Note that this boss fight is going to be tough since he has some pretty strong attacks and skills.

7. Defeat the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant. Once you have defeated the boss, take your time to do your rounds around the area. You might find that there are actually more enemies beneath the arena or even a chest. Take a good look.

By following the steps above in terms of team preparation, you will be all set to take on the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant and claim the rewards awaiting you.

How To Defeat the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant

The Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is a fearsome beast with an absorbing-energy mechanic. Its forms can change between a huge dragon of fire and a much smaller, gold version. With a dark red aura surrounding it, the boss undergoes a hyper-energy absorption phase, in which players should use Pyro-active elements in their advantage. Such characters as Shogun, Kokomi, and Nahida will help the player bring chaos into this transformation. While Catalyst or Bow users usually do great in this fight, considering the boss flies around and generally uses projectiles, interrupting the Qucusaur during its energy-absorption mode will force it back into its normal mode.

In its normal phase, the Qucusaur is a ground-based boss and engages primarily in slashing attacks with its claws and wings. If the distance between yourself and the boss increases, it will do a charged, drill-type attack that you can avoid by strafing/jumping sideways. The boss slams its front wings/legs into the ground, creating an AoE attack where the area of effect is quite wide. Distance will keep you outside this attack.

To make things easier, bring in characters with some sort of ranged attack to attack the Qucusaur while it is flying around. Players defeating this legendary boss are able to reap several rewards such as a Mark of the Binding Blessing and an Agnidus Agate required for Natlan Character ascension steps in Genshin Impact.

That way we conclude this guide on How to Find the Golden Flame Tyrant Qucusaur in Genshin Impact, so we hope you find it as soon as possible.
