Destiny 2 Solstice event comes with the return of that one obnoxious "Add Kindling" bug. Here's how to fix it:

The Solstice event is once again in our lives, and so is the long-winded process of getting that prestigious Solstice armor. The crux of this whole process is the Solstice Forge, which is essentially just an anvil in the game where you can grab bounties and forge your gear. One problem that has arisen is that a pesky bug is causing the prompt for an intrusive kindling to overlay on the monitor.

Quick Fix for the Kindling Prompt Bug

You should be able to reset one of your Solstice Forge bounties as a temporary fix for that issue. Here's how you can reset one of your Solstice Forge bounties:

1. Open the Director: The main menu can be accessed from the Quests tab.

2. Reveal All Quests: Click that crown icon to make sure you're seeing every available quest in the game.

3. Find the Solstice Forge: Look for an icon that resembles an anvil, which is the Solstice Forge.

4. Inspect Bounty Details: Right-click the Forge to observe the available bounties.

5. Reset a Bounty: Place the cursor over the golden icon given on a bounty you are interested in and click on "Reset Bounty".

Noteworthy: Resetting a Bounty requires a small investment with Silver Leaves, the currency that participants earn as a result of completing the various in-game activities associated with Bonfire Bash. Additionally, the player will lose all the progress associated with the bounty. For this reason, it is best to choose one that you are not attached to, or one that you cannot pursue for the moment.

This is a workaround and does grant temporary relief, but the issue is due to something on their backend, of which Bungie is aware and will hence sort out.

How to Understand Solstice Forge Bounties

Solstice Forge bounties use it at the core of their play. Alloy forms at its completion, being the raw, basic material one uses to forge any of the different pieces of armor. The Bonfire Bash offers Silver Leaves for participation, and those can be used to purchase bounties of assorted levels of difficulty. The higher the difficulty, the more Alloy can be awarded, as completing one ranked higher can take longer.

Nightfall bounties are of special significance, featuring up to 50 Alloy as a reward. Nowhere is it better for a player to start farming Alloy than in the Nightfall bounties. After a good number of Alloys have been gathered, a player can finally craft that armor piece they need and start kindling it with Incandescent Ingots.

This Solstice event really feels rewarding for players who manage to actually navigate through the mechanics to sail through the challenges. Understanding the Solstice Forge and its effective strategies can efficiently craft coveted Solstice armor and get players right into the action of this annual celebration.

[Optional: Add a quip or clever remark that's funny or relatable about how frustrating the bug can sometimes be]
