Fortunate Star is the new Void lightweight bow offered in Destiny 2's Solstice event and is, quite literally, a sniper's dream. With coveted perks like Kill Clip and Archer's Gambit, it takes the stage—two perks that, prior to this, were relegated to top-tier bows. With its potential for rapid draw time, the Fortunate Star is sure to be the key to dominating the bow meta.

The lightweight frame and exceptional base draw speed of Fortunate Star make it a good candidate to capitalize on the potential for rapid-fire aggression that Archer's Gambit holds. While this theoretical output may be tantalizing, it has yet to be decisively proven practical for this role. I'll get into specific perk combinations optimized for both PvE and PvP encounters below. Sadly, unlike the craftable Lethophobia, getting a god roll Fortunate Star relies on luck from the event drop pool. Fortunately, however, with The Final Shape update and its introduction of the perk enhancement, there comes a glimmer of hope. This mechanic is an evident opportunity for weapon refinement in return for vast amounts of resources.

Fortunate Star PvE god roll

The Fortunate Star is an all-around lightweight bow that offers great potential for killing in PvE. Its lightweight frame means it draws faster than other bow frames, so it's an excellent candidate for perk combos to maximize its speed and damage output.

Equip Polymer String and Fiberglass Arrow Shaft for the best performance to increase draw time and accuracy with stability. In the perk columns, one can include Archer's Tempo and Successful Warmup to increase draw speed even further, or take Kill Clip for a large 25% damage increase after each kill. Archer's Gambit is also an evasive option worth taking due to its massive reduction in draw time after a hip-fire precision hit. This perk, previously available only on the Gambit bow, Hush, synergizes extremely well with Archer's Tempo for an incredibly fast-firing setup.

While the "meme roll" featuring Archer's Tempo and Archer's Gambit can be fun, a more practical one may replace that with Kill Clip for actual damage consistency. Then for those Hunter players who want a lightweight bow that packs a punch without the Lethophobia, you can run Repulsor Brace with Kill Clip. You could also replace Kill Clip with Destabilizing Rounds if you want more Volatile application.

This flexibility in Fortunate Star really allows one to have many different perk combinations to fit multiple playstyles and challenges. If players have the right balance of perks and attachments, they will bring an overwhelming powerful bow into their PvE adventures.

Fortunate Star PvP god roll

For maximum PVP potential, you will need Fortunate Star with a Polymer String and Fiberglass Arrow Shaft for maximum accuracy. Archer's Tempo should be considered in the third column for faster draw time, more precisely after precision hits. Kill Clip, in the fourth column, should be on top as more damage can be delivered within a short period. A Draw Time Masterwork offsets the natural inaccuracy of the Lightweight frame to enable faster follow-up shots.

As Lethophobia was quick-swapping with Impulse Amplifier and Disruption Break, Fortunate Star became one of the main PvP weapons due to Kill Clip's consistent damage boost. Find a rhythm in Kill Clip and Archer's Tempo and watch Fortunate Star become a killing machine on the field.
