If you don't know how to complete In the name of science in Stalker 2 here is a guide that will help you with it.
Side quests are a great way to earn coupons in Stalker 2. Coupons are a currency that can be pretty helpful in the lonely Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, a nuclear wasteland. In The Name Of Science is one such task where you're asked to locate and return electronic collars; once you do so, you'll be rewarded.
However, you do have several choices which can alter the path the mission will take, and ultimately, its outcome. Below is an overview of the different paths you can choose and how to complete this task in Stalker 2.
Doing the Stalker 2 side mission "In the Name of Science"
Since you need to complete some requirements to unlock this side quest, you have to deliver the documents to Shcherba to complete the main story task In Search of Past Glory.
The scientists at Cordor will contact you after completing the optional questline Visions of Truth when you speak to Shcherba in Radio. Accept his offer, and you can begin this mission named In The Name Of Science. Note that you are, of course, able to also accept "I'm too busy", to decline.
If you choose this option, you will still be able to start the quest, but you will need to go to the Chemical Plant Roofed Warehouse and talk to Shcherba to trigger it. Afterwards, he will ask you to bring him several electronic collars scattered over the map. You will have to collect a total of four collars.
In Stalker 2, at Location 1, Malachite, you can find every Electric Collar for the In the Name of Science side quest.
The first is in malachite, in which, upon arrival at the marker, it is now located elsewhere. You can either pay to have the collar or fight some soldiers at the updated location for it. Just to make things easy, pay the debt and grab the collar.
Site 2 (Living Forest)
You might have done the Containers area in the "Just Business" quest; if you have, then go to the Red Forest. You can take out human enemies here as well. Then, go to the area with the huge crates and boxes blocking it; there is a Pseudogiant enemy there. Even if it's a bit of a pain to take out, you get a new collar after you do.
Third site is Ziton.
Despite the occurrence of opponents, you'll have to get to Zaton and the Hydrodynamics Lab building. Since a Controller is walking here with a collar, you're supposed to clean the territory of all hostiles so as not to take too much damage from them. Just knock it out with a hail of your shotgun's powerful rounds and then scavenge its body for the collar number three.
Site 4: Waste Land/Wild Island
In order to obtain the fourth collar, you must travel to Wild Island and defeat the constantly spawning adversary there. Collect the collar once you and two other pals reach the boathouse location and destroy it.
On the other hand, if you have encountered the above-named nemesis during a previous hunt, the task marker will direct you to the Brood location in Garbage. You can find a Snork on the hunt, near some cars. You can obtain the collar by defeating it.
Head to Shcherba in the Roofed Warehouse once you have obtained four collars and completed the previous steps. He will examine the collars and find them to be jammed and requiring repair. This will lead you to the Storage on the Hill POI, which you'll have to enter to progress with the quest.
Eliminate all the enemies and then proceed to enter the room with the open door. There's a switch that needs to be flipped. Head forward through the doors until you reach a room with acid spilled across the floor. There is a lever that needs to be pulled. Before heading down the stairs, make sure to keep clear of the pools of acid. You'll find numerous lowly rodent foes in here.
Defeat them and go further north into the territory, where you'll pull the third lever. This lever gives way to a door in that very room where you met those rats for the first time so go through it. In this room, be careful from two Poltergeists that appear in here and kill them by shotgun.
When you're done, find the ladder in the southwest corner of this room and head up the stairs. Now go climb it.
Head to the far northeast corner of the room, where you'll find an open door. Head straight through it, and east as you pass through it; avoid the obvious electric sparks on the floor and head downstairs.
You can find the jammer on a table on this bottom level. You can either reconfigure the settings of the jammer or disable it. The task can be either instantly completed or continued, whichever you prefer.
By disabling the jammer, you can return to the task and go back to meet the happy Shcherba.
Dvupalov and Shcherba will both find fault with your decisions when you re-calibrate the jammer. When you exit the bunker, the quest will be complete and you'll receive coupons as compensation. The outcome won't be affected by the dialogue options.
You'll end the mission once you reset the jammer, but after destroying and disabling the jammer, Shcherba will request that you head back to the warehouse. After speaking with Dvupalov, who'll offer you vodka, you'll enter a room with Shcherba and three bloodsuckers. Afterwards, he will show the way to your reward after the talk.
Follow the marker into the room, but it becomes sealed right away. Take a swig of the vodka now. Since Skif knows that Shcherba was a traitor, he'll have to fight the three vampires now. Follow the marker afterward and confront Shcherba once they're defeated. A cutscene will play in which he reveals his true intentions.
At the behest of a choice, you choose to hurt Shcherba or let him be. You don't incur any negative repercussions by saving him, but your relations with the Scientists will deteriorate if he is attacked. You can leave the lab after Dvupalov gives you a Gauss Gun, and that's the end of the quest.
