Get a Sinister, which isn't exactly a random spawn in the first place. Due to their exclusivity to one-start raids, it is already hard enough to obtain both types of Sinistea in Pokémon Go.

Once you're done with the raid and have hopefully caught the Sinistea, it's time to head into the Pokémon menu and find your new pet. You won't want to be looking at its form, though.

Upon doing so, a line from your team leader will give the usual information about when and where you caught the Sinistea, including whether it is an Antique Form or Phony.

There are no unique ways to evolve once you know your form. They can both evolve into Polteageist for fifty Sinistea Candy each. Once Niantic adds its Shiny form, trainers looking to complete all three forms will need to know which one they have.
