The Crownfall event in Dota 2 has indeed been one of the most exciting events for fans of the popular MOBA. For one, players got two new heroes during the event and were able to play a variety of mini-games while completing the questline and learning the story of Dragonus, Shen, and Queen Imperia.

Spoon Man is an encounter in Act 4 of Crownfall that you will need to complete in order to progress through the overworld. In this guide, we will explain everything you need to know to get through this encounter easily and claim all the rewards.

How to play Spoon Man in Dota 2

Spoon Man is an encounter that you will need to complete in order to enter Queen Imperia's Royal Palace in Act 4 of Crownfall. You will need to take the left path and play your way to the top to unlock this encounter.

This event puts you in a Bomberman-style encounter where you will need to kill enemies using your bomb. Each stage has a specific amount of enemies that they will need to eliminate. After killing all the enemies, you must destroy the glowing stone tiles to reveal a portal that takes you to the next level.

Killing every enemy in Spoon Man will reward you with 100 points.

The enemies get more difficult with each level you complete. In the first two levels, the enemies will move in a specific direction. However, later on, you will encounter enemies that will also chase you at high speed. Some levels will also have flying enemies that will drop bombs that can kill you or even kill the enemies that walk by you.

Some stages will require you to also unlock various doors to reach the portal using colored keys found by destroying the stone tiles. You will have to use the keys in the correct order to unlock the portal. In these levels, you do not have to kill any enemies. However, killing all the enemies will cause the stone tiles with the keys and power-ups to start glowing. So it will be easier for you to track them.

The scoring system takes into account both the time it takes to complete the level and the number of enemies killed. So, while killing enemies is always fun, it's best to try and get through the level quickly to get the highest score.

In this game mode you have three chances or three lives. If you hit an enemy or a bomb, you'll lose a life. The power-ups you've collected so far will be spread out across the stage and you'll have to pick them all up individually.

When you lose a life, you'll get a small window where enemies or bombs won't be able to harm you. You'll also get an improved walking speed.

All enemy types in Spoon Man Dota 2

Players will encounter four types of enemies throughout the different stages of Spoon Man. Each of them acts differently and requires a different approach to take them out.

Enemy type

How they work

Normal guards

Normal guards don't pose much of a challenge in this game mode. They move slowly in a single direction. You can trap them in a corner with a bomb to easily take them out. In more advanced levels, they'll drop a bomb from time to time, which you'll have to avoid.

Black Guards

The next type of enemy you will encounter will be the Black Guards with two red horns on their helmet. They also have a slow movement speed. However, if you get into their line of sight, they will dash towards you. If you move out of the way, they will keep running until they hit a wall and get stunned for a short period. You can drop a bomb and they will get stunned after they hit it.

Yellow Guards

Yellow Guards are similar to Black Guards in the way that they chase you. They will also get stunned if you drop a bomb. However, they will also push the bomb into a square. Yellow Guards have a faster movement speed compared to Black Guards.

Flying Guards

These enemies fly around the maze, dropping bombs in random places. The Flying Guards' bombs can take out the other enemies for you. You cannot kill the Flying Guards.

Dota 2 Spoon Man Power-Ups

The Spoon Man mini-game has a couple of Power-Ups that players can collect in each stage. The three main power-ups are as follows:
