How To Beat Psyocropos in Metaphor ReFantazio

One of the most thrilling missions in Metaphor: ReFantazio involves defeating Psyocropos in the so-named Greater One-Eyed Scoundrel. It is straightforward to defeat this boss in Metaphor: ReFantazio if we follow the steps described below.

Once the first chapter of the story is completed on Virga Island, take a walk to see the towns around. First, head to Grand Trad and, using the rapid travel option in the game, go to the Recruitment Centre.

The Dispatcher is located there and will brief you on the Goborn that are loose in the area surrounding Scoundrel's Hold including one known as Psyocropos. Locating and defeating the monster is the goal of your current objective.

You've still got a ways to go before you reach Scoundrel's Hold, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. You should most certainly drop in on Ligno and gear up with some weapons for the Masked Dancer Archetype.

Due to their higher damage dealing and overall superiority compared to your current party, they are perfect for fighting against Psyocropos. When you enter the dungeon, you will be notified that equipping maces and staffs will only serve to enrage the monsters inside of the dungeon rather than help you.

With his Seeker and Gunner ancestry, Psyocropos is quite easy to prepare for with Wind and Physical Pierce strikes, but he won't be fighting alone. Employ Hulkenburg as a Dark Knight to get access to his Synthesis combinations. He'll also be aided by two Goborns.

Psyocropos will initiate the fight by charging up and using his Soul Scream. The attacks are powerful, but they only hit one thing at a time. You can shrug them off with Knight's Proclamation. The Goborns might not be shy about using their multi-target attacks, too - you know that already.
