How and Where to Find Every Life is Strange: Double Exposure Polaroid Photograph

Weird Life: Double Exposure's Although Max is the main photographer in the game, you will come across several other Polaroid cameras littered throughout the stages. Although some of them tell a story, some are nicely visually appealing on their own and some of them beg the question, who or what took their picture. As an added incentive, finding each one of them within each chapter will net you an achievement.

Thankfully, you won't need to redo the whole adventure in finding them; once the game is completed, you can always select the Explore Scene option to return to each and every scene to collect them. You will also be given options to skip some scenes and conversation.

Assuming that you're starting from the very first level, herein is the chronological order in which each of the twenty Polaroids appeared in Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

As we come out of the gutter into the deserted bowling alley in Chapter 1: Still Life, we have three Polaroids: 0

The Turtle's A Drink to Recall: 1

Place the Polaroid on the table, beside the door that leads to the sundeck, after the conversation with Safi and her mother Yasmin, who are still in the Living World. You will find it by the cow picture.

Positive Events- Observational: 1

As you head down with Safi from the rooftop of the observatory, you'll find a beheaded snowman. Continuing down the path towards the fence, you will find a Polaroid picture not far from there.

Depressed (Upstairs at Hellerton House): 1

With Amanda coming to visit, the Polaroid is stashed in the room behind the fireplace. You can find it on the table beside of Max's telescope.

Back to School Melody: 0

Penumbra, Chapter 2: Five Polaroids

You currently can enter the Living World, in which Safi is alive, and the Dead World, in which she is dead. The position of each Polaroid is in one of those environments which I have mentioned below.

Three-Tab (Turtle Bar) Table: 1 

This Polaroid is laid on the table beside the turtle wall painting in Dead World.

The Polaroid is on the picnic table to the right of the wooden shelter near the graffiti rock in the Living World. 

Crime scene/overlook in Leaving Nothing Overlooked: 1 

In the real world, after you've met and spoken with Gwen at the Overlook, take the Polaroid picture from the bench on the left. 

How to Evade Observation (in Moses's lab): 1

In Dead World, you'll find a trio of screens flanking the entrance. Just to the left of the desk sits the Polaroid.

In Dead World, the Polaroid is next Max's stack of CDs and her CD player. 

Section 3: Spin-Five Polaroids

This Polaroid is in the FAB Cafe of Dead World, near the counter on the table closest to the window.

Dead World: The Admin Building unlocks not too far into the story. From Vinh's desk, out of Yasmin's office, it'll be on the table next to the red couch.

After speaking with Vinh of the Living World, you will come back to Dead World to speak with Lucas, ultimately having to search his office for evidence. On the shelf, to the right of the golden typewriter and map in Dead World, is a Polaroid camera. 

The Turtle's "Nobody Wants to Drink Alone": 1

Looking around the pirate mural in the Living World, a garage door is painted on the wall. To the left of the garage entrance is an exit door and beside it, a barrel table. The Polaroid is on top of that table.

Breaking Hearts and Entering: 1 (Hellerton House)

This Polaroid can be seen on a table next to Max's telescope, in the Dead World. It was in a quiet alcove, next to a grey seat and a fern.

Dead World: Max gets dressed before the big talk. Turn on Dead World and take a gander at the area around the couch and telescope. You can make out a Polaroid across from the vacant easel.

Living World: This will become available when you have set up the prank and return to find Lucas in the patio area. When you head on out into the patio area and you'll see a green chair that has a Polaroid on its arm.

Scatterbrained: college - one

This Polaroid is on the picnic table on the left of the shelter, near the graffiti rock, in Living World.

Crime scene/overview cold snap: 0% 

Section 5: Decoherence—Three Polaroids Analysis 

I won't direct you to the location of the Polaroids on either Living World or Dead World, since the majority of the chapter does indeed occur in the storm.

This is a balcony where earlier in the game Safi was standing, and this Polaroid is resting on a stone railing at the edge of it. 

Leave the Blackwood Academy restrooms immediately: 1 

Just head straight through the restrooms to the yellow mark on the wall; then, on the corner with the cleaning cart, turn left. On the right-hand wall, you can make out a Polaroid picture.

Strange Lane (Bowling Lane): 0 

Turtle Bar (Razing the Bar): 1 

Your last Polaroid picture can be found on a long table that runs perpendicular to the stage in Dead World. 

Three sub-chapters are still missing: There are no more Polaroids to collect, including Checkout Time, She's Got Her Mothers Eyes, and Back Together Again, which total zero. This includes the epilogue.
