In this walkthrough, we've explained everything you need to know to defeat the Ginyu Special Forces in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Here's how you can defeat the successive Ginyu Special Forces in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero:
To fight the successive Ginyu Special Forces in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, follow the alternate storyline in Goku's character episode. The fight against Raditz sees him "go it alone" without teaming up with Piccolo. This sets in motion the events by which Vegeta is freed from Earth via a Saiyan capsule. This triggers Vegeta's eventual return, who now offers to work with Goku and his friends against Frieza.
After Vegeta's return, the alternate scenario proceeds to show Frieza's invasion of Earth. First, you'll fight Zarbon and Dodoria, Frieza's right and left hands. After their defeat, the Ginyu Forces mount the attack. The first one you come into contact with is Guldo, the weakest member of the squad. After Guldo's defeat, Vegeta suggests that Goku fight the Ginyu Forces one after another instead of facing them one on one. Goku agrees and begins his fight with all five members of the Ginyu Forces.
The best option to beat each member of the Ginyu Forces in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
1. Guldo
- Weakest and easiest member to defeat
- Key Strategy: Quick combos followed by a Kaioken x20 Kamehameha.
Conserve the most HP in this fight for the tougher ones later on. If you lose too much health early on, restart the fight. Charge your Ki fully until the finishing move. That way, you can go straight into Sparking mode for the next battle.
2. Recoome
- Defensive-oriented with teleportation attacks
- Key strategy: It's difficult to perform attack combos with a defensively enhanced Recoome. Watch out for his teleporting legs. Employ Sparking mode, start an attack combo, and finish with a Spirit Bomb.
Timing is everything: Try to hit Recoome with a Spirit Bomb every time he finishes an attack animation for maximum damage with speed.
3.Burter
- Fast and aggressive with teleportation
- Key strategy: Burter's speed and melee attacks make him tricky, but he's vulnerable after teleporting. Use a similar strategy to Recoome: perform an attack combo and use the Spirit Bomb. Be mindful of counterattacks you can do, though.
If available, use the "Give Me Your Energy" skill up to three times to enhance the power of your Spirit Bomb. Keep one skill point remaining to re-enter Sparking mode if needed.
4. Jeice
- Long Range Ki Attacks
- Key Strategy: Jeice relies on keeping his distance from you, but when he gets up close, his attacks are very weak and highly telegraphed. When he's doing his combos up close, wait for him to start teleporting around you and block him so you can counterattack him. Counter with a quick combo into a Kaioken x20 Kamehameha or a Spirit Bomb if you're in Sparking mode.
Jeice gets pretty erratic, so stay on the defensive and close the gap whenever you want.
5. Captain Ginyu
- High Defense and Sequence
- Key Strategy: Ginyu is the hardest to defeat in Force Ginyu, especially if your health is low. Stay in Sparking mode and keep him under constant pressure using quick combos. If he's down, summon a Spirit Bomb and deal him a lot of damage. If your health is critical, use Dragon Dash to create distance, supercharge your Ki, and take the opportunity to re-enter Sparking Mode to gain the upper hand and overwhelm Ginyu before he regains his second boost.
