2. Use the Device Manager to make sure that the driver for the AMD graphics card is updated.

This problem occurs when Windows deems it necessary to disable the driver for the AMD graphics card. This may be your case, so in the following instance, let's check in Device Manager whether or not the driver for the AMD graphics card has any state applied to it. Follow these steps:

Open device manager.

Go into the subcategory of Display adapters.

Right-click on your graphics card driver and see if the option to enable the device is available, then click yes if the answer is yes to enable your graphics card driver.

If you go with the above steps, then the error should be eliminated. If the graphics card driver is already enabled, you should go ahead and inspect for an AMD GPU driver that has been corrupted. A yellow caution flag will be shown on the driver of the graphics card. Right click on it and then click on Properties. You should see, under the General tab, a section called Device Status. Maybe your error message is there. The code of Device Manager error will be one of those. You can fix the problem after you know the error code.

3. Reinstall AMD software by first uninstalling it.

Perhaps, in addition, the problem is with the AMD software. You would most definitely see it resolved by uninstalling the AMD software and reinstalling it. Go to Control Panel or Settings within Windows 11/Windows 10, and remove the AMD software from that. Now shut your computer down and restart it. You can then install the latest version of the AMD software that you'll be able to locate on its official website site.

4. Download a new driver for the graphics card that supports your system.

You can try to install another version of the AMD graphics card driver which is compatible with your system and check whether it makes any difference or not.

Please follow the steps below:

Open the Device manager.

Expand the Display adapters subcategory.

Find the driver for your AMD graphics card, and click on "Update driver".

Click Search my PC for the latest drivers.

From here, a list will appear in which you can choose a driver which will be compatible with your PC.

Here, click on the option which says Show compatible hardware.

Now, from a list, select any other version of the AMD graphics driver compatible with your system.

Here, click Next, and install the driver accordingly by following the screen instructions.

Install Other Compatible AMD Graphics Driver If the above procedure doesn't work, proceed further.

5. Perform a clean installation of the graphics card driver.

First, uninstall the currently working version on your computer. Next, you need to download the updated driver for your graphics card from the official website of your computer's manufacturer. Now, download the utility called DDU and install it.

To fully uninstall the driver of the graphics card, start in safe mode and launch the DDU program. Afterwards, make sure you update to the most current driver available for your graphics device.

6. Launch System Restore

System Restore utility should be your last resort when all other approaches fail to restore your system to one of its previous functional states.
