How to defeat Sea Horror Homo Sabara in Metaphor ReFantazio

Sea Scare One of the scariest bosses in Metaphor ReFantazio is Homo Sabara. For a boss with a crown of thorns, multiple ears, tentacles, and teeth that can make your skin crawl rising from the water, it will more than likely send a few gamers into a tailspin. And it can inflict serious hurt if you are not prepared for it, too. At this point in the game, there's no telling what kinds of combinations you could bring to the table - that is, considering all the possible parties and class configurations you have available to you.

With this boss, I had Junah, the Songstress, in my roster, and she should've already joined the group by now. Also, your tactics should be designed to suit your setting and party. In Metaphor ReFantazio, this is how we defeated Sea Horror Homo Sabara.

Metaphor ReFantazio: Defeating Sea Horror Homo Sabara

In Metaphor ReFantazio, our group for Sea Horror: Homo Sabara comprises Hero, Cleric, Junah, Masked Dancer, Strohl, Wizard and Heismay, Assassin. You also find out that you may change characters in and out of battle during this encounter, so if you are carrying around a useless character, you might want to consider swapping him out.

In Metaphor ReFantazio, Sea Horror Homo Sabara's weak point is in Electricity. We can thanks to Synthesis for the fact that with Wizard/Masked Dancer we can cast Kandeon. During this fight, it is the perfect team-up move since this hits a single target with Heavy Electric damage.

Some of the devastating attacks it possesses include Random Attack, where it lets loose its numerous tentacles to strike your entire team mercifully. Because one of my party members was weak against it, it started unleashing a torrent of attacks that included Torrential Breath, a water attack that hits only that one member.

Also, it has a Heavy Slam attack that can give considerable damage to only one target and is highly preferred for characters who are susceptible to it. Ink Spew would probably be the most annoying attack since it can apply the Malady Debuff to every party member. This nullifies recovery magic and equipment and reduces all states. Now would be a very great time to use whatever items you brought with you, such as Ailment Absolution.

If you want it to unleash its Random Attack more powerfully, spend some time killing the boss's tentacles. Due to the high critical hit chance, Gold Attack from the Merchant tree was used and of course Gakandera was used since it does Medium Electric to all foes.

The other members of the party then attacked one tentacle at a time with their strongest strike until they whittled them all down. In Metaphor ReFantazio, killing Sea Horror Homo Sabara's tentacles will weaken the boss and make it easier to defeat him.

It is weak, but it's still capable of a lot of the nasty attacks such as Ink Spew. Be prepared, take off Malady immediately when it hits a party member, and squish it with your strongest Electrical or Gold Attack if you ever find yourself in the same shoes. If you have done this so far, then now is the time to get back to the quest and follow the path in order to choose a new king.
