Today we show you step by step How to get shiny Meloetta in Pokémon HOME.

Its been almost a decade and a half since Pokémon Black and White released onto the Nintendo DS, but the Shiny Meloetta is finally about to make an appearance and it's going to take a lot of work for trainers to get their hands on it.

Since the DS game came out, trainers have had to resort to flaws and tricks in order to view Meloetta in her sparkling form. Thanks to Pokémon HOME's new challenge, trainers can finally get one but with a catch.

How do I get Shiny Meloetta in Pokémon Red and Violet?

Game Freak has decided to lock Shiny Meloetta behind a Pokédex quest, which means the only way that you'll be able to get it in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet or any other game is by using Pokémon HOME.

To get it, you have to finish the Paldean, Kikakami and Blueberry Academy Pokédexes. You don't have to have acquired Pokémon that were pre-released from before generation nine. However, your Pokémon HOME Pokédex does need to have Pokémon like Ogerpon and any raid-exclusives like Iron Leaves.

You'll also have to unlock access to various Pokémon evolutionary phases, too. Owning an evolved Meowscarada isn't good enough; you actually have to go through the agonizing pain of transferring its two pre-evolution forms into HOME.

You might need to spend money on HOME for its premium membership, as you do require enough space to transfer in order to make transfers work a few at a time. Otherwise, this will be somewhat more time consuming, having to transfer Pokémon between games, save, remove them and insert new ones. It really is a time sink to do each single one, even if they are not required to actually be inside of HOME for it to count towards the Pokédex.

You won't be able to get all of the version-exclusive legendary and rare Pokémon, either, unless you own a copy of both Scarlet and Violet or have a friend willing to trade with you. You can also trade with other trainers on HOME in exchange for Pokémon you might not have, assuming you have something those other trainers want.

With that in mind, you're going to want to consider a few things before deciding whether Shiny Meloetta is worth the investment. This means you'll need to devote a lot of time, different versions of the game, and all of the DLCs to find the Pokémon needed. So, as stated earlier, what you'll want is:

All the new Pokémon DLCs to complete the Paldea Pokédex

An evolution form for each of the Pokémon in the Paldea

Version-exclusive Pokémon from both versions of games.

It would be way better to have a Pokémon Home Premium Membership.

We trust that with these steps, you can learn How to get shiny Meloetta in your collection, so without further ado, good luck in Pokémon HOME.
