Here in our guide we show you How to remove the Sticky Notes preview in Windows 11 in a simple way.
Microsoft has been releasing an update to Insiders since February 16, 2024, which unified the Sticky Notes and OneNote app of Microsoft 365. Among the features and redesigns that this release has brought forth is the capability to pin notes to the top of other apps. This mainly aimed at synchronizing user notes across devices.
This update was officially released to the public by Microsoft on September 10, 2024. From the good reviews in the beginning, users very quickly ran into app launch failures and a sluggish UI that made note creation and editing a real pain.
But where new Sticky Notes application is feature-rich, it's also more convoluted to use than the old Sticky Notes application. You will not be able to use new Sticky Notes on your PC itself sans Microsoft OneNote through which you can create, edit, and access your notes.
A new app called "Sticky Notes (Preview)" began appearing on users' desktops alongside the older Sticky Notes app.
Many other enhancements have been done with the recent versions of Sticky Notes. Among them, the capability for it to automatically link the source of a screenshot. If you screenshot Appuals.com and then use Sticky Notes to link it to the website, you can easily jump into other parts of the site just by clicking on the image.
Detachable Notes (Snapshot) Delay Problems
Some users have complained of a laggy experience, which is particularly irritating when scrolling through notes.
How to Turn Off Windows 11's Sticky Notes Preview
You can uninstall the newer "Sticky Notes (Preview)" application if you'd prefer to stick with the old Sticky Notes. If you do, your configuration will revert to an older version.
