The Four Spirit Animals in D4: Vessel of Hatred

There could be more later, but currently, you have four animal companions to channel as a Spiritborn in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred. Of course, each one provides something different, and dedicating yourself to one or even combining several is going to greatly alter your combat.

In summary, here's what each spirit animal represents: Spirit Animal Main/Highlighted Effects Eagle Lightning damage, ranged attacks, and movement speed/mobility Gorilla Physical damage, defense, and crowd control Jaguar Physical damage, damage buffs, and attack speed Centipede Poison damage, regeneration, and debuffs Again, you can commit to one spirit or combine several, focusing on a maximum of two though ensures you don't get confused with your skill bar. Additionally, some spirits complement each other.

For example, Centipede would cover for the Eagle or Jaguar's lack of defense and can amplify damage with its debuffs.

Spirit Hall Effects

Once you hit level 15 and level 30, you can choose either the Spirit Hall or the Spirit Guardian. These will provide different, dramatic passive effects that will further spice up your playstyle and allow you to create build variations.

These are similar to the Druid's passives, but have more variations and have more visible, palpable effects. You can only choose one primary by level 15 and one secondary by level 30.

Level 15 Hall of

Spirits Hall of Spirits Choice Passive Effect Jaguar Every 15th time you deal direct damage to an enemy with a Jaguar ability, unleash an additional strike that deals 15% of the damage you've dealt to them in the last 0.5 seconds.

All abilities are now also Jaguar abilities.

Eagle Casting an Eagle ability grants 4 seconds of Storm Feathers movement speed matching. When you evade, you launch up to 8 Storm Feathers for every second remaining, each dealing X lightning damage and making targets vulnerable for 5 seconds.

All abilities are now also Eagle abilities.

Gorilla Casting a Gorilla ability deals 100% Thorns to enemies you hit and grants a Barrier for 5.0% of maximum Health, up to 30% for 3 seconds.

All abilities are now also Gorilla abilities.

Centipede Hitting an enemy with a Centipede ability reduces their damage by 2.5% and slows them by 10% for 3 seconds, stacking up to a maximum of 8 times.

All abilities are now also Centipede abilities.

These choices are pretty crucial, as they also turn your abilities into a specific type of Spirit Guardian, further gearing you towards that build or playstyle. Luckily, you can change them at any time.

Level 30 Hall of

Spirits Hall of Spirits Choice Passive Effect Jaguar Maximum Ferocity increased by 1. You gain 1 stack of Ferocity every time you kill an enemy or damage a boss.

Eagle For every 4 meters you move, your critical strike chance is increased by 4%. This request is reset 2 seconds after you land a critical hit.

Gorilla Maximum Resolve increased by 2. When you have at least 5 stacks of Resolve, you are unstoppable.

Centipede Heal 1% of your maximum health for each nearby enemy you have poisoned in the last 3 seconds, up to 5%.

The level 30 options are sadly different and less dramatic compared to the level 15 options, but they still reinforce your chosen playstyle. Plus, you can change them at any time to get more
