The armor set TR-40 Gold Eagle is a complimentary addition to Helldivers 2, given to all players as part of the Escalation of Freedom update. This resplendent ensemble requires no in-game purchases or Warbond expenditures.

To put this golden pride on your character, make sure you have simply updated your game to the latest patch, then head to your Super Destroyer to equip the armor from the Armory. While a matching golden cape would have been ideal, the "Will of the People" cape from the Super Citizen Edition is not too bad an alternative if one wants to be royally attired. The armor known as the TR-40 Gold Eagle is but a mere re-skin of the basic B-01 Tactical armor. It sports the exact same protection, speed, and stamina as the base suit from which it was devised. There is only one difference: that is, it's covered in a flamboyant golden color. The game pokes fun at it by saying that this "gold color greatly improves visibility in bad weather." Not that it would help in-game, but it performs identically to the B-01 on the field.
