Finding Special Bot 3 in Astro's Playroom
The third Special Bot within Astro's Playroom is actually a really nice tribute to the legacy of racing that was Gran Turismo. Dressed in a slick design with a racing-styled getup, this robot companion can be located within the colorful Cooling Springs Bot Beach environment. This gives a nod to PlayStation's history with games and features a unique collectible for dedicated players to find.
To collect the Special Bot 3, a Gran Turismo-themed wonder, visit the level Cooling Springs – Bot Beach. Your challenge: find four sea stars. The first one hides under the Pier, the second on the beach to your left, the third next to the palm tree on your right, and the last close to the left of the cooling pipe. Stepping on the fourth star makes the Special Bot come out.
On the right of the cooling pipe, your journey continues. Just go forward until you find some kind of structure with a Steering Wheel under it. Now that you have found the steering wheel, interact with it and, through the Options menu, open the Map. If all is done right, this time you will receive the sound of a race car engine to let you know that you're correct. Press the button combination shown in the GIF to unlock Special Bot 3.
It will unlock the Gran Turismo-themed Special Bot 3 and the Grand Tourist trophy of Astro's Playroom on completion of the challenge. Another special bot that will carry over to the next Astro Bot game, launching exclusively on PS5 on September 6, 2024.
