00:24 - We were video game enthusiasts since we were very little.
00:28 We started playing games on a MacIntosh plus,
00:31 that my Dad brought when we lived in the States.
00:34- As soon we were able to get our hands on editors,
00:38 we started getting more involved in mods.
00:42 All that led us to step-by-step start learning game
00:46 development on our own, just using the internet.
00:50 - And eventually as we got more serious and made
00:52 bigger and bigger projects we were kinda-
00:55 had the idea, okay maybe we can make our studio
00:59 and live off of this,
01:00 but when we were growing up,
01:02 that was not really an option for us.
01:04 Working with your brothers is,
01:06 yeah, I guess having three designers kind of doing stuff
01:10 there's a lot of opportunities for not agreeing on stuff,
01:14 but we have played the same games our whole childhood
01:18 so we have a lot of common language to speak about things.
01:23 We know what each other likes, so that really helps in
01:28 designing conversation.

01:33 - My job has always been bound to the technical side.
01:37 I'm a programmer since eight years old.
01:40 And I always like to make video games,
01:44 so I was programming at home, trying to do stuff.
01:48 In 1998 I believe, I was introduced to Andres and Carlos
01:52 because we had a common friend that knew they were
01:55 making some games and he knew I was crazy about making games
02:00 I was lacking the art and the design,
02:02 and they were lacking the engineering,
02:04 so it was a perfect match.
02:05 - I decided to approach Juan Pablo and Giant Monkey Robot
02:08 early on because we wanted to introduce some fresh ideas
02:13 and fresh developers into the series.
02:17 This co-production enables us to start looking at the game,
02:20 from people that have an external point of view.
02:23 - It really is great to see a team of people who are
02:27 as excited as us about every aspect of the game.
02:32 Design discussions or things that they bring to the project,
02:37 that we hadn't thought of.
02:39 - I believe that the trust we have each other,
02:41 like the professional trust, but also at a personal level
02:44 there's like a long friendship and a relationship,
02:48 it has allowed us to be very direct for him on the requests
02:54 that he makes to our development team.
02:59 And for me, which I am basically being the development team
03:04 lead and kind of producer,
03:07 being able to say, you know what, that's not possible,
03:11 or I believe that's crazy and too crazy,
03:14 in terms of the scoping.
03:17 And I'm very proud of what we have done.
03:19 - There's no one else we would have trusted with
03:22 like having a co-production for the game other than them.
03:27 - I think Rock of Ages, as a brand,
03:30 is a very unique and fun game.
03:33 When these guys approached me and talked me about having
03:37 an in-game editor in Rock of Ages III, it was like whoa,
03:42 yeah, it's perfect.
03:43 I have always seen like how compelling these kinds of
03:47 Sandbox games in which the players can create their levels,
03:52 are very compelling, but their real main challenge
03:55 is that players will be having so much fun creating
04:00 crazy stuff to challenge their friends,
04:03 the community trying to be famous,
04:05 because they made the best level ever.
04:08 There will be the real, purpose of the game
04:11 and the way it will hopefully get to be a very popular game.
