VIDEO Valero Energy Ethanol Plant | Renewable Energy TV commercial 2020 • 00:00 [Music] 00:06 my day I'm pretty lucky I oversee the 00:09 operations of our ethanol plant and I 00:10 get to work with a lot of different 00:12 people and facilitate the safe operation 00:14 and producing of ethanol 00:17 [Music] 00:20 I'm Brian Brinkman I'm the Blair 00:22 renewables plant manager for Rory South 00:24 Dakota plural Newell's process is about 00:30 618 million bushels of corn a year and 00:32 what that equates to produce in about 00:35 1.7 billion gallons of ethanol as a 00:37 renewable fuel it helps extend our 00:39 gasoline supply and helps transport 00:41 people and resources across our country 00:45 [Applause] 00:47 so we take corn into the facility 00:50 directly from farmers and from the coops 00:52 we mill it into flour add enzymes and 00:56 water and we ferment that product into 00:59 ethanol to make dried distillers grain 01:03 we separate the water in solids and dry 01:05 it to a product that's fed to cattle and 01:08 other livestock 01:10 [Music] 01:11 ethanol is a low-carbon renewable fuel 01:14 that uses every part of the feedstock 01:15 the corn kernel it produces multiple 01:18 products that are used across the u.s. 01:20 and the world whether it be dried 01:22 distillers grain modified dried 01:24 distillers grain corn oil for biodiesel 01:27 or animal feed and of course ethanol 01:30 [Music] 01:33 Valero has brought in a number of best 01:36 practices from its operations into our 01:39 ethanol operations making us more 01:41 cost-effective more efficient and better 01:43 environmental stewards plural renewables 01:48 has 14 ethyl plants in the Corn Belt 01:49 with that it's strategically places our 01:52 plants but we can economically bring in 01:54 corn and then also with our rail 01:57 infrastructure we can facilitate 01:58 transporting our ethanol fuel 02:00 domestically but also globally with our 02:03 export markets we really want to have a 02:08 partnership with our local farmers and 02:11 provide them with the best opportunity 02:12 to market their grain 02:15 I like doing business with Valero 02:17 because of the people my dad and I both 02:21 have worked with Valero for the last ten 02:23 years it's great to work with them 02:25 they're competitive with their prices 02:27 and when you deliver there it's 02:30 definitely very well organized and easy 02:33 to get around I save Valero as a great 02:38 community partner they bring jobs to our 02:41 area as well as support United Way and 02:44 benefit for children's which donates 02:47 money locally for our kids being a 02:50 farmer is not just a business for me 02:52 it's also a way of life the biggest part 02:55 of farming for me is the family peace 02:58 and the legacy that we hope to leave and 03:03 hopefully my children will choose to do 03:06 the same 03:07 [Music] 03:09 you- advertisement spot 2020
