Watch our step-by-step tutorial on how to adjust these settings on your Barista Express™espresso machine, so you can make the perfect cup of coffee to suit your taste.
How to adjust the shot volume (00:04): 1. Grind, dose and tamp your portafilter. Press the ‘Program’ button then insert the portafilter into the group head. 2. To reprogram the volume of the ‘1-cup’ button or the ‘2-cup’ button, select the button you wish to adjust to start the extraction. 3. Once the chosen volume has been extracted, press the same button to stop the extraction. The machine will beep twice to confirm.
How to change the temperature (00:29): Remember that different beans might require different brew temperatures to extract their full flavour. Before adjusting the shot temperature, turn the machine off then press and hold the ‘Program’ and ‘Power’ button at the same time. The machine will beep once and the illuminated button will indicate the current temperature selected. Adjust settings as follows: - To reset to factory default settings, press the ‘Program’ button. - To increase the temperature by 1 degree Celsius, press the ‘1-cup’ button. - To increase the temperature by 2 degrees Celsius, press the ‘2-cup’ button. - To decrease the temperature by 1 degree Celsius, press the ‘Filter size’ button. - To decrease the temperature by 2 degrees Celsius, press the ‘Power’ button.
