HOME CHARGING POINT A home charging point, like the Ford Wallbox, delivers faster more convenient charging. The Ford Wallbox has a built-in charge cable. Simply lift the plug from its holder and unwind the cable. For third-party charging points without a built-in cable, a compatible Ford Accessory home charging cable is available.
To start charging, check your electric vehicle is in Park, then open the charge port and plug in. Once connected, the cable can only be removed if the vehicle is unlocked and the key is present.
Lights around the charge port show charging progress. With a Wallbox, a full charge takes around 3 to 4 hours. Using a third-party charging point with the home charging cable, it's around 5 to 6 hours.
While it charges, you can monitor progress with the FordPass app. You can also use the app to set charging schedules.
